She's keeping us up at night with her yelping and so on. Can't get her fixed while she's in heat and won't let her outside to go tomcatting. Any suggestions?

For the rest of the night, you may have to endure it.
Call your vet in the morning; I think you can have her spayed while she's still in heat, or the vet may be able to do something to stop the estrus.
And spay her as soon as you can, because she WILL go back into heat until she's bred or spayed.

Female cats can come into heat every two weeks during breeding season until they become pregnant. During this time they may engage in behaviors such as frequent yowling and urination in unacceptable places. Call around to different vet clinics, most will spay cats while in heat. Otherwise, just hang in there and wear earplugs.

First off, get her spayed. I suppose you already know that. When I had a female in heat, my vet recommened I insert a Q Tip into her vagina and stimulate her a little. A very little. Its gross but if you want her unfixed *** to shut the F U C K up you might have to do it. As soon as she is over her heat, bite the bullet and get her spayed for her as well as you.

Keep her at the other end of the house and let her watch animal planet or get her some new toys. Then after its all over with get her fixed then you never have to deal with it again.

Some vets will not fix a cat in heat and some will. I have had a female cat fixed when she was in heat. if your vet will not fix her when shes in heat find one that will.

The longer you wait the better her threat for pyrometra (an infection of the utuerus). call your take care of for a decrease cost vet and get her in there quickly. With cats, its annoying to foretell while they are out of warmth as while they start up they cycle lots.

You should have her spayed. There is no reason at all why she can't be spayed while she is in heat. Do yourselves and your cat a favor...make an appointment with your vet.

You can get her fixed while she's in heat, what a wild rumor. Get her fixed, being drugged and sore will take her mind off it!

I WOULD TRY CALLING A 24 HR VET AND ASK, BEFORE I GOT MY CAT FIXED SHE DID THIS, I JUST TURNED ON THE FAN AND THE TV LOW AND IGNORED IT AND AS SOON AS SHE WAS DONE I RAN TO THE VET WITH HER.
