questions you could be asked are:
What is it about our company that makes you want to work here?
(This is to find out how much you know about their company if you don't know a lot then you have let yourself down... most businesses have a website these days where you can familiarise yourself with what they do....)
Why did you leave your last job?
(Be honest, there is a chance they have already rung your previous employer and asked why you left!)
Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
(the correct answer to this is "In your chair Sir!")
What makes you the right person for this position?
Be honest and up front.... don't leave it to them to figure out why you are so good for the position. List the reasons that make you an ideal employee... (Prompt, a person of integrity, experience in the field, experience with similar stakeholders, capable of understanding the intriciacies of the job..... and so on..)
What kind of renumeration are you seeking?
(Like all job seekers I am looking to earn as much as possible, however I understand that this company pays similarly experienced employees $....... per annum.... I would accept that as a starting figure.)
Do you have any questions about this position?
If you don't then either the interview has been long and sufficiently informative as to answer all your questions or you don't know enough to ask a question..... either way you need to either ask a question or compliment them on providing you with all the information that you need for now...
Some questions you could ask:
If I am hired for this position to whom do I report any concerns or seek advice from?
How long would you expect it to take me to get up to speed on the tasks and information that is required for this position?
(If appropriate) How many clients would I work with on a regular basis in a day? Overall?
What is the main objective of my position?
What is the main objetive of the company?

"What are your strengths and weaknesses?"
"If you've ever worked in customer service before, tell me a situation in which you've had to deal with a difficult customer/client."
"Are you punctual?"
I've gotten those questions or ones similar to them in every single job interview I've done. They also like to ask hypothetitcal questions more specific to that job (i.e. if your shift ends at 5:30 but the person who is supposed to relieve you isn't there by then, what do you do?)
As for any other tips, dress accordingly. If you're applying for a minimum wage job in retail or food, you can dress casual. When I applied to clothing stores, I wore something that matched the style of that store. But if you're applying to something more professional, dress professionally and clean. Always make eye contact when you talk and shake hands! If they ask you for a weakness, state something that isn't really a weakness. I always say that I'm a workaholic. It's a weakness to some, but definitely not one for employers :)

right here's a tip that I even have used and scored huge in my interviews. I even have the job of my targets and am making lots greater money than i ever concept i might. do somewhat learn. in case you certainly need this job, spend $40 9 and get a Dunn & Bradstreet document on the enterprise you're interviewing with . this provides you with a multitude of insider form education. learn it and learn it. make an remark of the right administration, their faculties, previous employers, etc. once you have the interview, you will look like and surprisingly prepared candidate. they'll bypass away with that effect. whilst it is your turn to ask questions, sting them with a minimum of one question which will might desire to squirm to answer. Like, What are you doing to coach around the lackluster overall performance in the previous few quarters, or I see that inventory has climbed in the previous few quarters, etc. this exhibits them which you have paid interest to the real nuts and bolts of ways a company is run. save a tidbit of your studying for a follow up letter to the interviewers. drop that tidbit in the letter, and you have gotten make a great 2d effect. good success and suitable regards

what qualifies you for this postion?
tell me about a time when you demonstrated leadership and team work?
you answers will obviously depend on your prior experienc, but be sure you think up something to say.
also depending on the kind of place you work? some consulting places ask you to tell them a joke. they don't do it because they want to laugh, they do it to intimidate you and see how you can handle yourself in a spontaneous situation. some places will even go so far as to ask for a second joke because a lot ppl have a canned joke prepared. so think of two simple non racist, non sexist jokes.
good luck
