Wisdon teeth definately. They hurt even after the job is done for like a couple of days. Be ready for some pain medications.

I would have to say that a root canal is more painful than getting all 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I was put out when I had my wisdom teeth removed, so I had no pain at all.

I read another of your questions and see that your wisdom teeth are impacted. Mine were, too. I was asleep for the whole thing, so I didn't feel a thing. However, I had chipmunk cheeks and lot of drool for a couple of days. Yeah, I didn't feel like eating because my mouth was sore. Had to drink out of a straw.
Never had a root canal, so I can't compare the two, but from what I heard, the root canal is more immediate pain. But with impacted wisdom teeth you may be sore longer.
Sorry! What a bummer! :(

The wisdom teeth. When I had mine pulled I was given an excuse to be off of work for a week because of the pain medication and to allow healing by not putting undo pressure on the removal sight. I have had several root canals and I never had any post treatment pain.

I've had both procedures done. Wisdom teeth hurt 10 times more than a root canal.

Neither
The wisdom teeth can be painful if you acquire a dry socket. Then be ready for some horrible pain. Just be careful not to "suck" the bloodclot out of the hole the tooth came out of. Once it's healed over, you'll be okay.
Listen to your doctor's orders to avoid dry sockets
The root canal is a piece of cake. Don't worry about that.

Never had a root canal. I had 5 wisdom teeth removed (I had an extra) and my roots grew around my jaw bone. Even though I had a local anesthetic and nitrous oxide, I could still feel the pain of them pulling them out.

root canals don't hurt at all...having wisdom teeth --not too bad but can be a little painful afterward.
