Everyone should have the right to believe what they want, as long as their belief doesn't require other to be hurt in the process. I don't think all religions are of equal merit, just because someone else has one. All food is not the same - some is harmful, some is neutral and some is healthy. Religion is the same way. Some religions require that their sons die for the cause. One religion required that God's son die for the world. But, in general, don't accept the first thing to come across your plate - if you were served plain white bread, investigate toasted, buttered, whole-grain wheat bread. Also religion is people's attempt to reach God. Christianity is God's attempt to reach people. But, check out all religions and see which one (or ones) make the most sense for you. Judge no one - love everyone - seek the truth - there is such a thing as truth. If there is not, is that the truth or just relative. Love, Greg

Jesus is the only thank you to Heaven, John 14:6, and there are not the different gods. a million Timothy 2:5; James 2:19. My determination is very own and is not any longer reminiscent of being a dependable activities fan the place "my" team is the suited - that's subjective and emotional. No, this has to do with actuality. If some thing is actual, it does no longer be counted who's for or against it - it continues to be actual. sometime, all people will consider this, only that's going to be too overdue for some. Philippians 2:9-11. The evidence is all around and interior of you. Romans a million:18-20. satriani_g3_03: (a) do no longer ask questions in case you do no longer prefer to take heed to the solutions. God's be conscious teaches that Heaven is the suited place which you may think of and easily those whose names are interior the e book of existence gets in. I actual am no longer looking down on others, only attempting to stick to what i think and, via fact that i think it, wish that all people would be saved and get to Heaven. (c) As for bringing up verses, the Bible is an more suitable authority and that i like to characteristic actuality to God. it fairly is the inspiration for my answer and that i purely made that time-honored. after all, you asked why. (d) i'm sorry which you're so adversarial to the persons from whom you solicited those solutions. it fairly is common to ask questions and hard to offer stable solutions. I wish you the suited.

You cannot believe in something whole heartily and not believe it's the right choice (or the only choice). As a Christian, I am a believer in and a follower of the teachings of Jesus. He taught His disciples to be "evangelists" (to share the Word of the Lord with others). By sharing our knowledge and experience of the Lord, we are following His teachings - trying to help all people seek the Lord. I do feel at peace with my faith and my belief in the Lord. That's why I want to share that beautiful feeling with others. I am not "fighting" with anyone about my beliefs. I try to express my opinion on this site in a calm, rational manner. I'm not sure how that makes "people like me" give religion a bad reputation.

Most religions goals are to win souls and convert. If you believe yours in the correct one, then if you talk of it with others your practice what you preach. I understand what you are referring to here, but as well you are judgmental of some and should not be. Religion is a practice of personal beliefs within a structure. If you follow one or another and what the others preach is not in your doctrine or ways, then of course you do not want to see others convert or join something you feel is wrong or bad for them. I just want to comment on what you said "God wants".That depends I think on what God you are referring to? I would dare guess what God wants as far as other religions, because the first commandment says no other Gods before me, right? When you convince children to strap on bombs to kill innocent others for Islam, well to me something is very wrong..

The essence of a true believer in any religion in humility. If a person is not humble before God, then how they can not be humble before people? If they are not then they are therefore unable to convey the message of God's peace, love, mercy and compassion. Anyone who acts boastfully or arrogantly about their religion has not understood their religion or attained the peace of God's presence.

I think the problem is that their religion teaches them that it is the only true one and that every other religion is wrong and they believe that. I guess that makes it impossible for many people to respect other religions, they think of them as wrong while they claim they know the truth themselves.
I agree with you that people should respect other people's beliefs.

Basically because they all view themselves as being close to me in likeness. I do have regrets about giving everyone freewill- it's been abused for so many centuries. I am the one god, I allowed thousands of different religions to try and please the masses. But humans are so egotistically petty that they all turned on each other because of their basic lack of self esteem. Bless you all and I can only watch and wish you peace.

each of us are born with a religion and then some...is the feeling in oneself that makes one think their religion is better than others...in a way its to help us have faith in our religion...except religion was and always will be a very sensitive discussion no matter we are in what era....so what ever misconception about any other religion should never be discussed...respect other people's culture and religion...then only we can make it a better world to stay...peace

Well, if they do not bother anyone with their thoughts then why blame them?
What is wrong with making information about your belief available to others? I mean just making it available and not forcing them into it.
