Great question.......I tell people I am a "spiritual "person to get
them off my back. Religion is the same as spirituality. But some
people don't want to be stuck with a label. Don't like being told
what to wear and how to think, etc. Main stream religion often
does that. But people should strive to be spiritual in some form.
No, drugs aren't it. I happen to think that every religion has some
thing to offer. But I must be true to God as I know him. And my
bible feeds my soul. We are spirits, or souls.

Being spiritual requires no religion, drugs, prayers or ceremony. It is about being personally connected to the forces around us. It is about knowing God and the things of the spirit first-hand and investigating and living the belief.
Personally, I have found that religion is a hinderance to spirituality because it tends to put too much emphasis on personalities, egos, materialism, and the conflict between the different factions/religions.

Spirituality is your own personal search for God and the truth.
We all want to feel the peace and love that just cannot be felt by outward religious practice. Too many interruptions and noise interfere with your personal ability to know in your heart what is right for YOU.

Spirituality to me is a personal relationship with God. You walk with Him in your daily life. You include HIm in your decisions, asking what He thinks is best, since He is all knowing and we are not.
