As a waitress I have learned never to judge anyone for anything. I work near a college campus and I always thought that college students wouldn't tip that well, but they do! I also don't see any differences in race as far as tips, but I also hate being stereotypical.
If it was me I would talk to the manager. If the restaurant seems busy than see if you can leave a comment card or get the store phone number and call back later.

You certainly didn't deserve to be treated like that, and when you walked in that establishment to spend your money, you should be treated with respect. After all, you CHOSE to spend your time, and money there. My father always said, " if you recieve poor service, do not get up without leaving a tip, then they won't know you were not satisfied. Leave a penny, and they will know you did not forget, but that you were dissatisfied with your service." I always follow that rule. Waitstaff work hard for their money. Their tips are their lifeline, for they work for well below minimum wage. So if a job is NOT well done, why should they recieve a bonus? You wouldn't be promoted for poor performance at your place of business. I also would advise reporting the incidence to management. I'm sure the establishment in question would not want to lose your business, due to poor treatment by a staff member. Who knows, you may not be the first or last person this has happened to by this individual.

Don't go there anymore and tell your friends no to. Instead go to a place where you're more welcomed, leave good tips there, and be like that. Just think the service there is bad, do not think of details, comparing her servise towards other customers. You think the service is bad, so don't go there anymore, NEVER. But not because she is worse to you than to other customers, but because the SERVICE IS BAD. Ignore that place!
What is your action towards a nasty waitress?
NO TIPS, NO MORE VISITS, NEVER

My mom was a waitress for a long time and she told me that black people were the worst tippers of all people. This came from a woman who never taught me to be racist but only made an honest observation. So maybe the waitress had been stiffed many times, too.

When ever I receive poor service, I'll deliberately leave a VERY small tip. See when you leave nothing they might just think that you forgot or were in a hurry, but if you leave a stack of small coins(a few pennies) they get the message that you were not satisfied with the service they gave to regardless of any other social stereotypes.

if u give a penny for a tip that means they gave REALLY BAD service and when on the way out ask to speak to a manager and let them know in person about the problem so that they get the correct person who screwed up so this does not happen to anyone else

Why did you leave a tip, since you obviously did not like the service? Do you have a martyr complex?
I dream about putting glue on the bottom side of the plate. Haven't done it yet.

If you see another waitor walking by ask them to help you if you need help or a refil-- so she doesnt spit in it, and dont worry-- shell get whats coming to her if she was being rascist.
Also remember that sometimes its hard to keep a smile on your face constantly, you saw her transform as she put on her work face for someone else, but dont assume that it was because of you. It could be that something troubling was on her mind when she was around you, then noticing that she was slacking, decided to put on her happy work face and just tough it out- know what i mean?

She is there for you, you are not there for her. Don't even worry about winning her over, or for that matter, punishing her by screwing with her. Once she provides you with what you need for your meal, tune her out, or if it is too oppressive, leave and go somewhere else - you are in control. Bear in mind that if you do leave a tip, you are reinforcing her negative behavior, and if you don't leave a tip, you are reinforcing her negative opinion, so you can't win - don't let it get to you.

Sue the waitress the next time... She have no right to un-welcome a customer... and/or complain... don't care whether she likes it or not... it is still her job to greet customer evenly with a smile... She's just one of those people...
