When my first child left home, I cried and cried, I'd go to his room and seat there, to remember the good times we spent together. I got over it in about a year or so. It is the course of life. I know, but still, is your child.

mixed feelings. first child left to go to the big city. worried sick that she might get into a bad crowd, how was she going to support herself, how safe would be. but then the satisfaction of having done a fantastic job which i called good parenting. We nurture our young ones to be independent when they reach adulthood. so now my two babies have moved and i am using the word moved to the big city, having boyfriends and jobs but whenever they ring up to come home and they mean HOME until they start their own families. In the end, it was not the girls with the problem, it was me still wanting my children around me so i just had to learn to cope with them moving away for a short while. And whenever they want to come home, i always make sure they are coming back to their homes once again. God bless me. I am coping much better now.

Well we have 3 teens at present, all 3 are home and honestly, as much as they can all drive you crazy(isn't that their job?To try anyways?LOL)it is hard to imagine our lives without them in it, on a daily basis. Right now they are becoming more independent, all of it, you can see it happening, in stages. So I am praying, that little by little, we will get used to this whole idea of not having kids around one day. I have times when I say to people, "How come you are so happy about them not being at your house anymore?"However, there are times when my hubbie and I look at one another, looking forward to our time together, to go places, do things, without them. It will be a new chapter in our lives for sure. I just know that our kids are forever etched deep in our hearts, we're always going to be here for them, and whatever happens in their lives. We have gone through a lot and can't honestly imagine them not calling, not seeing us, but we know that we've done the best job we can, we've laid the foundation for them, and now are giving them wings to fly, yes, they'll fall, but they too will learn and make a life for themselves. For now, we are enjoying what we have, for this moment is what we are given, it is the present, a Gift, life is, enjoy!

Depend on how old is my last child..if she/he is old enuff, leaving the house should be a problem. And I should be happy as one less person at home to do the household chores.

It's depend on why he or she leaves. If he or she leaves for higher education will be happy; To live with spouse or partner will be happy with little bit sad because my kid is no more kid and he or she is not belong to me anymore. If he or she leaves for his or her irresponsible or for any crime i will be angry and sad but no mercy for them. .

Very Bittersweet.
I would be happy we raised them all to be successful on their own and be happy to be alone with my husband again.
But I'll be sad to see that era over too.
