yikes that can be a reality check. in some ways religious scholars have done that and later the con artist reveals the truth. but look at it like this a story i once heard......
a church day was starting and a man was huddled in a corner of the building in the cold and each person who entered the church didn't ask him if he needed help, not even to get out of the cold. instead they just whispered among themselves in the church about what they saw. after a while they waiting for the pastor to start his sermon. , moments past and the man from outside stepped onto the podium, removed his garb to reveal the pastor of the church. his words to his congregation was."i guess you can figure out what my sermon will be about today."
you see you must be careful of your path and to teach a lesson. you must also look at each situation and words spoken, especially if the prophetic person can't back it with scripture.
good luck with your direction.

People can be easily swayed when they are told the things they want to hear.
I wouldn't use the word "prophet" though. A good synonym for the word prophet is gadfly - throughout the Old Testament the prophets were claiming to be messengers of God in order to urge changes in policies and in the hearts of the Israelite people, not trying to dupe them into giving away their money.

Yes, deceit is wrong, why do you have to prove that people are dumb enough to be conned, you already know they are, and fooling others who are open to being conned through an act will only serve to push others away from god, so are you there to help the devil or are you trying to prove how much of a genius and power you have over others? go see a physiologist cause you sound like you have a personality disorder, one of that being grandiose.

You should know that people may not be so happy once they find out the truth. Nobody likes to be made a fool of.

your playing with fire, many christians can see thru someone that does this, its called descernment and it comes from the spirit. but many do get taken in,that is why we should be walking with Lord very close and asking for him to guide and let the spirit lead and show us all things in our path and that the enemy can come in any form let God do the showing, and we just pray for them that God will reveal the truth.....

You Idiot, that is what is happening now, and people can't even see it. The pope is already claiming to be the vicor (replcment) of Christ.....no one can replace God. These things are prophesied in the bible, but no one pays attn to them, because they have pleasure in unrighteousness

wow...thats agood one...all i know is mark 9:42-43a says
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. "
if that person is not lead by God to pursue a spiritual gift such as prophesy (1 Corinthians chapter 12)...then they are in for it big time...but God can use anyone when He wants, and how He wants...but as far as the congregation goes it should be our first and foremost duty to seek Him in His word..idk about You, but i trust Him enough not to place a doctrine in front of me that will stumble me...
"Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. " (James 1:13)

That's like opening the hen house door for the fox as he eats your prize chicken and you say,see there what happens if you follow me..right? Yes, any time you deceive like that you are trying to impress someone, and you are not their Savior.

Why bother telling them that you are fooling them? Why not just keep it up. Take the adoration, the money, the wives, whatever you can get.
