Well, it would help you if this question were not in the weddings category, but the "trying to conceive" category. If you've gone for 3 years with out using any birth control and have not gotten pregnant, you need to be checked out by a doctor, that's all there is to it. It's not a matter of who doesn't work right, at least it shouldn't be. Generally, women have more issues that can go wrong with reproduction, just because there are so many steps that have to happen, under the right circumstances, for conception. So, go get checked out by a doctor, your gyno should be a good place to start. You don't have to see an infertility specialist, it may be a simple infection that won't clear up, or your hormones may be off slightly, and those are simple matters to fix. Best of luck to you and your hubby.

Drs don't usually get concerned until you've tried for a full year. There may be a reason you aren't getting pregnant & then again, your timing might just be off. Doesn't make sense sometimes when one couple trie & tries while another one says, "we just did it the one time".

Go see your Dr. Let him make the assessment. And yes, he will no doubt suggest your husband see a urologist. If you want to get pregnant, you will have to say this to your husband, desite the fact that he may be disappointed.

Ok. There are several things you can do.

First, being overweight really hurts your chances. Being in good shape really helps your chances.

Boxer briefs for the man help.

Laying on your back with semen inside the woman helps. Put her/your butt on a pillow and elevate you hips for 20 or so minutes.

The woman should have an orgasm second, it helps suck the semen up where it needs to go.

Other than that, you can learn the NFP method (available through most catholic churches), it will help you pinpoint your most fertile days. Then you can have you husband save up his sperm (no sex or masturbation) until the target days. That really helps your odds.

Hope this helps!

I got pregnant after 8 years! But I secretly had check up to see if something was wrong with me. Fortunately, I'm healthy and very able to concieve. My next problem was how to tell my husband to see a doctor. This is difficult but convince him that you two should visit a doctor and whatever findings/result you get will not affect your love for each other.

Okay, spelling??

I know that has to be scary, feeling like you will be unable to give the person you love the one thing he or she desires most, but if you really want to have a baby, you will go see your OB/GYN and talk about your dreams and concerns. Your doctor will either be able to help you if you need treatment, offer helpful suggestions, or refer you to a fertility specialist. You can't just wait forever for a baby to arrive; you need to educate yourself on your options. See your doctor. If you're told that everything is normal and healthy, then you need to send your husband to his doctor to be tested. There is nothing shameful in needing medical assistance to have a child.

see if u r having unprotected intercourse for more than a year and still not getting pregnant, there is cause of worry.
the prob may be very simple or it may be complex beyond the understanding of even the doctor.
get both of u checked by the doc for ovalution and sperms. may u have no complex prob.

Go to a dr, its not that bad. First they will ask for charts, I hope that you are keeping some, at least three to six months worth. Then they will test you first. If they find nothing wrong with you then it moves on to him. We just started the entire process.
