It wasnt that long for him. No time at all infact. When you are omnipresent time doesnt exist. So to us yes thousands of years to him nothing.

Actually, creationists believe the earth is not much older than five thousand years. Jesus came about two thousand years ago, which means it only took him 3,000 years.
However, the Bible says that to God "A day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is a day."
If a thousand years is just a day to God, then that means it only took Jesus 3 days. That's not too long.

Perhaps he should have waited until such a time as today when man's inhumanity to man has reached an all time low? Oh wait, maybe that is why he said he would be back.....he knew just how much of a travesty we would create given enough time. Maybe it's just around the corner. Maybe HE just waited until he couldn't stand it anymore before he left to come here. I mean, really, if I lived in Heaven with all around me being perfection, I would definately NOT be in any huge hurry to come and bail the earth's inhabitant's sorry butt's out of the situation they were in. Would you?

I'm with the time-loop theory as well. In eternity, a fraction therein is as large or as small as you want it to be. We are only here for a moment, and well, actually, because of this theory, Jesus was here at the beginning and he is still here. He's just really really good at disguising himself.
Hide and Seek. Hide and Seek.

God tried different ways to communicate with humans. First, He gave the commandments, and in this way humans were made aware of the ways they sinned. He sent prophets to speak for Him, to turn people away from wrong and to turn back to Him. The people wanted a king, so He sent kings to rule, to bring wisdom and order. Finally He said I"ll give them one last chance- I"ll send my Son, surely they will listen to Him."

Well, if you're religious (I'm not) then the following may help. God, Jesus you name it, was probably very busy with other intelligent life.
One Religious theory suggests that God wrote the Bible for humans, but if God genuinely existed, he probably wrote thousands of Bibles for other intelligent life-forms.
The universe is about 15 to 20 billion years old.
Our solar system is about 4.5 billion years old.
Humans have been around for less than 1 million years.
Therefore all human Religions, Gods, Bibles have been around for less than 1 million years.
Since the universe consists of billions of billions of stars, there will be billions of stars capable of supporting life on other planets orbiting them.
The universe has been around for more than 99.99% of the total time and humans for less than 0.01% of the time. On a universal scale, humans have only been around for a blink of an eye. Most other life in the universe has been around much longer. Science would suggest the probability of intelligent life existing on another planet elsewhere in our universe is over 99%.
Religion suggests that God created the universe and wrote the Bible for humans. So for the other intelligent life in our universe which has been around far longer than humans, God must have produced thousands of other Bibles for them.

news flash, there is no jesus, and never was....people just invented some idea b/c they couldnt explain events. most people accept BS because no one was strong enough (physically not in anyway rationally - irrationaity won here) that they were wrong about that when humans started expressing their thoughts and learning.
