3 full day. Mountain dew and vivarin (caffine pill) By that third day I was so loopy I started seeing tracers of my movements. Of course then I crashed and slept for around 18 hours. My roomate at the time said during those 18 hrs that we had a conversation and I absolutely had no idea that it had taken place. God, I miss college.

Symptoms of menopause, hyperthyroidism, and anxiety led me to a horrible 36 hours with no sleep and over 96 hours with all of 5 hours of sleep that I actually could count. Since I was a blithering idiot by this time, I am not sure exactly how much sleep I had or not.
The 5 hours counted were taken in naps of about 20 -30 minutes.
I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. I am still an insomniac and seem more awake at night than in the day. I exercise and work on dietary changes and monitor my thyroids; but so far I get one good night's sleep a week and average 3 hours most other nights. Some nights I give up and read a book.
My judgment is questionable, I make some of the goofiest decisions, and sometimes I cannot remember the simplest of words, let alone anyone's name.
Why on earth would anyone want to stay awake for such extended period of times? Even with caffeine or drugs you still have impaired judgment and questionable level of alertness. After a while your whole body just aches.

118 Hours straight durring the 1st Gulf War. I had to stay awake because when we weren't in combat I was driving my track or on a mission. When the cease fire was called I climbed out on top of my track (m577 command/intell track) and went to sleep for 12 hours. I woke up wet from the rain I slept through and covered in oil from the oil well fires. We had stopped about 10k north west of the burning oil fields. Smoked like crazy, drank coffee, and stuck dry coffee in my lip (I don't chew tobacco) to stay awake. I stayed awake that long because we were trying to keep other alive and because I was unlucky enough to be the one of the few analysts to be good at what I did.

The longest time that I have been awake is 60 hours. It was due to accute anxiety, and depression. I was not even sleepy at the time. I also went five days without food. I still cannot sleep.

I was awake the whole day one time.
I was on the phone with a guy.
Best conversations ever!
It really passes the time and in the morning of course I had weird chills and my hands were shaking.
Caffeine does the trick usually.. but that night was great

Ice - 4 nights. I would go to say something and nothing would come out and I was spinning out every 10 seconds. I also lost a considerable amount of weight after that huge bender. Geez I use to hit it hard back in the day. I'm a good girl now (sort of!)...

4 days. Marine special forces school UDT(underwater demolitions) course with the seals. We put hot sauce in our eyes to stay up. I found my self falling asleep while running with a row boat over my head. Never thought it would be possible.
