Nothing is wrong with Peta, I've been a member for many years. However, I will be the first to admit that they do go overboard just a little on some things. The main thing I support to the fullest extent is their stand on animal testing. Over and over they have proved that computers supply much more accurate information regarding tests. There is NO reason to continue testing on innocent animals. If they need more tests, I say let them take the people in our prisons on death row, and let them repay their debt to society by being Guinea pigs for testing. Then we will know how certain tests affect humans. Testing on innocient animals in no way shows how things effect humans!

LOL, "why the NEGATIVE about PETA?"
For one thing they go around destroying other people's property and then they say their "peaceful?" Sorry, anyone who throws a bucket of red paint on someone is not "peaceful" their *ssh-oles.
Also, PETA KILLS ANIMALS but doesn't announce it! YES, THEY DO! They run a Euthanasia farm to "put to sleep" animals no one wants, then b*tches because people KILL ANIMALS? WTF?
Also, it is "thought" they have ties with the ALF & ELF, the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front, two homegrown terrorist organizations in the United States that destroy's Car Lots and University and College Research Buildings. These are NOT KIND people.

PETA has done some wonderful things to stave off animal cruelty, abuse and to bring issues to light BUT sometimes the way they do it is extreme. The irony is they are rumored to be so emphatic about saving animals from labs that they blow up the lab!! With no regard to the humans inside..THAT is the kind of thing people associate with PETA. Their extremists views and actions. They think THEIR point of view is the ONLY point of view and have NO tolerance of other's way of thinking. Again, they have made some wonderful advances but their behavior and actions have caused many people to NOT want to support ANY animal welfare groups because of their extreme practices therefore actually making them a detriment to animal welfare causes...people associate animal welfare groups now with PETA and with a negative connotation...not a good thing :(

im a vegan, but here are some reasons why:
peta is about about "TOTAL anima liberation"
that means no seeing eyes dogs, and no pets, even goldfish
peta donated 45,000 dollars to the rod Coronado fund- Rod went to jail for bombing a buliding that held animal experiments (because peta is tax exempt this was public record)
also, peta euthanises on average 2/3 of the animals they save. The leader of peta says that some animals are just better off that way.
these are prolly some of the reasons why people dont like peta

Its a very complicated and controversial topic. I suggest you research them yourself, see what they are about, and then decide for your self-dont let anyone sway you either way--you will know whether or not you are for or against them when you delve into it further.
I have alot of experience here, have done this researching of PETA and the like myself for years...good luck-its a very important topic for me... animal welfare I mean. The term animal rights has gotten a bad name from the anti peta types, but it all boils down to your personal feelings about animals being harmed by humans, or whether they need our protection & help from some very bad situations and lab testing, things like that

Because it is too hard to do the right thing, especially when the right thing involves standing up for someone who can't speak or defend themselves.
Take a look at the site 'iamscruelty.com' and see what they do to earn their keep.
In my opinion, anything that PETA can do to counteract the outrageous cruelty humans get away with, has so far been justified, simply through the essence of our savagery.

PETA is an extremist group... they use unconventional methods to get their motives known to the public. They also are hypocrites of themselves... they prentend to be all about animal welfare, yet they have put to sleep more than 75% of the dogs in their private rescue since 1993.
Basically, PETA is a group of freaks who like attention and pretend to care about animals... they want to end hunting (even in places where it is needed to live outside of the USA) yet offer no means for population control of species like deer.
PETA memebers are known for being extremists if not down right crazy, that's why people don't agree with them.

I dont agree with wearing fur. but eating animals is okay. That is what they are here for. Killing animals for sport is not cool.. If you kill a cow to provide your family with food, that is perfectly fine.. I live in Kentucky, where some of us still see our food alive before we eat it. I would never wear fur for any reason, there are too many other things available to keep warm in cold weather. It is not in a balanced diet to eat just veggies no matter what vitamins you take.
