I was cleaning out the closet and i found 2 unopened tubes of Frontline for cats. They are clearly 2 yrs old. There is no expiration date on them tho. I threw them away anyways but i was wondering if they were still safe to use.

Hi there...according to Frontline's website FAQ question #7 states:
FRONTLINE Brand Products do not carry an expiration date. We recommend storing FRONTLINE Brand Products at room temperature and keeping them sealed in their original packaging. If stored under these conditions, FRONTINE Brand Products will not expire.

Actually just about 2 wks ago I had to call the customer service number to ask the exact same question and I was told that no, it does not expire. I'm a vet and I honestly wondered the same thing, since you are right, there is no exp. date on the carton. But a client came in and asked about it so I called for him just to confirm. You can go ahead and use it even if it's a couple years old. Hope this helps.

If you check the box there is no expiration date on them. At work when we prescribe them there is no date. Last time I heard it is still good but i would double check with your vet next time.

I have this same problem except I do have the box and it does NOT have an expiration date.

I know that if you had been able to find the box as well as the tubes, the box would have had an expiration date on it. I think that you did the right thing be getting ride of them. If you had used them it might not have worked or it could have made you cat(s) very sick.

I'm pretty sure they would be totally fine even ten years after manufacture. Pesticides are extremely hardy molecules....

They should be alright to use, although medication does lose potency over time.
