Illegal firearm possession is often what is plea-bargained down to. In other words they try to make a deal like "well we KNOW you had a gun and we THINK you were selling drugs" so if you plead guilty to gun possession then you will get X time but if you don't play nice then it will be X * 5 if you are found guilty.

Any felon found to be in possession of a firearm is an automatic felony except in fairly rare cases where the record is expunged. (which almost never happens for felons, but sometimes for misdemeanor domestic violence convictions)

they will not give you a list to choose from, you need to have a name, there are many people in jail in philadelphia for possession of a firearm.
