Hello, I want to commute from Delhi Airport to Noida. I heard that the pre-paid taxis don't come upto Noida. If i have to catch an auto or hire a pre-paid taxi from Delhi airport to Noida, where should i ask the driver to take me so that i can come as close as possible to Noida? I will then need to hire an auto/take a bus from the alighting point till interior of Noida. If you have travelled recently from Delhi Airport to Noida, you would be in a better position to help me. Thanks in advance.

There could be practical problems in taking pre-paid taxi / auto to Noida from Delhi Airport. Though taxies / autos do go to Noida from Delhi, but they are within their legitimate rights to refuse to go - since Noida falls outside the territory of Delhi. The Delhi Traffic Police Booth manning pre-paid booths at the airport may also not force any driver to go to Noida.

The following suggestions may work for you:

1. Alongside Delhi Police manned pre-paid taxi booth at the airport, there are atleast one (or two) more private taxi operator booths. They have private taxies / arrangements and radio taxies.
They may be charging a little more but can take you to your destination in Noida without any hassle. More so, if you are travelling with bulky luggage, ladies or kids.

2. Hire a pre-paid ( Delhi Traffic Police managed) taxi upto Sarai Kale Khan Bus Terminus. Here on, right in front of the exit gate of Bus Terminus right on the ring road close under the flyover, plenty of autos drives can take you to Noida - though would be asking for good money.

3. Take pre-paid taxi upto Mayur Vihar Phase I. Get down at the main road T point city bus stop on the main road going to Noida. From here on you may find auto, though a few in number, willing to go to Noida at somewhat reasonable charge. The Noida Border is just less than a kilometer from this point. Alternatively, from this bus stop itself, you may get a number of route buses plying for Noida frequently, unless it is between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

4. Take a pre-paid taxi for Patparganj. Ask him to get down at Mandawali Police Station in Patparganj on Mother Dairy Road - about two kilometers from the main gate of the Mother Dairy. At the adjoining wall of the Police Station, there is one Himachal Taxi Service, a private cab operator. Take a cab from him for your destination to Noida. He may charge Rs. 250 to 300 for single journey depending upon your distance in Noida. I am excluding Greater Noida Places - if you have to go there?!

Irrespective of what I have said above, even try with pre-paid police managed booth at the airport to get a taxi direct for Noida, you may be lucky to get one without much difficulty.

Hi ! Not a big deal....been doing it atleast two times a week ! At the arrival lounge itself , you would find a pre paid taxi booth . Last week I paid Rs 350 to come down to sector 61 in Noida.

The autos have an issue as explained above . Taxis ply comfortably . They have the required permit or they are private nos. Do not worry . pre paid taxi is the best way out . been doing it since ages !!

All the best
