I feel just dandy. Nothing is so serious to get my dander up. I have seen it all. There are as many opinions in this world as there are sands in the sea and I choose to not react or be overly sensitive to peoples statements or opinions.

I think I do let the fanatical Christians really get under my skin. It just makes me so angry when anyone thinks they can tell someone else that God would send them to hell. I haven't heard of any atheists blowing up any women's clinics. I bet they were not outside Terry Schiavo's hospice trying to keep a brain dead woman alive. I believe in God but it's OK not to. George Bush would definitely like to create an American Taliban. He wants to use the law to force his religious beliefs on our citizens. See, I am angry again., I just feel so strongly. And some things are just not negotiable.

I understand how you feel. I actually come to this section to help people learn the truth about spiritual things, and hopefully guide them away from God and religion altogether so they can lead happier lives.
You should see some of the vulgar perverted sickening replies I receive from religious people, but then I understand that these people suffer from mental illness and lack of intelligence, and so, perhaps their behaviour, although irrational, has a rational explanation. I hope the following helps ease your pain and suffering.
Atheists are more intelligent than religious believers.
My own observation and analysis of the various posters on Yahoo Answers clearly reveals that Atheists are without any doubt, far more intelligent, thought provoking, and capable of holding sensible debate compared to their religious counterparts.
My private research studies indicate that religious people tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. This also seems to be supported by profiling various YA religious posters.
Science suggests that religion is a mental illness and that religious people act irrationally because they are genetically predisposed to the “religious or spiritual” gene. Statistics indicate that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god.
In general terms, this summarises as Atheists are intelligent and religious people suffer from madness.

Are you referring to Christians who are trying to "share" their beliefs with others? A true Christian is a believer in and a follower of Jesus Christ. He taught us not only to love each other (all people), but to share the Word of the Lord with others. A true Christian isn't trying to "force" their beliefs on others. We are taught that all who believe in the Lord will not be lost, but will have eternal life. Christian evangelists (those who share the Word of the Lord with others) are simply following the teachings of Jesus and trying to "save" as many people as possible.

I think lightness is in walking away from those that think they have the answers for your life. After all, when you walk out the door, you have to be happy with your decision... so you get to pick who you listen to or not

You aren't kidding; and getting fired up or having resentments over things that we are powerless over is like peeing on yourself; the only person who feels it is you..........................Good point, and well taken..............
