No... Because Atheists are trying to convert people to their faith... Atheists try to push their beliefs on everyone and try to convert people to their belief system...

Funny how they whine and complain about Christians doing that then they do the same thing... hypocritical if you ask me.

I'm still trying to figure out why the Atheists are even participating in the religious section.

God is perfect, there is nothing a mortal can say that could make me question the Word of God. I hope that you find out the truth. Africa for your information was there ohhhh, at about the same time as israel and other countries, In the book of gensis the bible speaks of Ethiopia, now is Ethiopia in africa or not? The black people that you know of today in the United States are not African,
But are people that were takn away from there land against there will. The Bible speaks of this. You should read it and pray for understanding, because weather you believe it or not You will have to deal with this bible and if not, the Lord will deal with you. the bible tells you all these things. God does not love everyone, he only Loves those who loves him and Keep his Commandments. I hope you get it together, your life really does depend on it.

Absolutly nothing ! All there theries are without any foundation what - so-ever. They have all learned a number of trick questions about God . But there are a thousand answers in the Gods Bible that rebuke every question or answer an anheist can bring up . The Atheist has gotton all his/her questions and answers from someone else . I never met one that was happy and had the joy of life in himself . It is like their soul is screaming to find a way to find peace and comfort - a way to believe in something - most of all in Christ .

We must never let down on these people who know or care about any Almighty God . God has given us all the ability and the command to bring at least one soul to the understanding of Salvation through faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ at Calvary .

You should have them read Isiah 53 ...

The answers are kind of funny, but they represent the problem with religion (or any irrational belief):

If there is no evidence, even hypothetically, that would make you change your beliefs -- then your beliefs have, in a very literal sense, absolutely nothing to do with reality.

What difference is there, really, between the Christian who says "I will believe in God no matter what I see in the world," an atheist who says "I will believe God does not exist no matter what evidence is presented," and a mental institution patient who says "I believe that aliens are trying to control my thoughts no matter what the doctors say."

Any belief that cannot be changed by some hypothetical evidence is ultimately irrational and irrelevant to reality.

I'm not a Christian, but a theist. Theists are other religions besides Christian, btw.

Anyway, nothing an atheist has ever said has made me question the existence of God. Not to say I haven't pondered the possibility of the nonexistence of God, but it wasn't because of anything an atheist said.

PROOFS AND EVIDENCES OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

One of the proofs and demonstrations of the existence of God is the fact that man did not create himself: nay, his creator and designer is another than himself.

It is certain and indisputable that the creator of man is not like man because a powerless creature cannot create another being. The maker, the creator, has to possess all perfections in order that he may create.

Can the creation be perfect and the creator imperfect? Can a picture be a masterpiece and the painter imperfect in his art? For it is his art and his creation. Moreover, the picture cannot be like the painter; otherwise, the painting would have created itself. However perfect the picture may be, in comparison with the painter it is in the utmost degree of imperfection.

The contingent world is the source of imperfections: God is the origin of perfections. The imperfections of the contingent world are in themselves a proof of the perfections of God.

For example, when you look at man, you see that he is weak. This very weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of the Eternal Almighty One, because, if there were no power, weakness could not be imagined. Then the weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of God; for if there were no power, there could be no weakness; so from this weakness it becomes evident that there is power in the world. Again, in the contingent world there is poverty; then necessarily wealth exists, since poverty is apparent in the world. In the contingent world there is ignorance; necessarily knowledge exists, because ignorance is found; for if there were no knowledge, neither would there be ignorance. Ignorance is the nonexistence of knowledge, and if there were no existence, nonexistence could not be realized.

It is certain that the whole contingent world is subjected to a law and rule which it can never disobey; even man is forced to submit to death, to sleep and to other conditions -- that is to say, man in certain particulars is governed, and necessarily this state of being governed implies the existence of a governor. Because a characteristic of contingent beings is dependency, and this dependency is an essential necessity, therefore, there must be an independent being whose independence is essential.

In the same way it is understood from the man who is sick that there must be one who is in health; for if there were no health, his sickness could not be proved.

Therefore, it becomes evident that there is an Eternal Almighty One, Who is the possessor of all perfections, because unless He possessed all perfections He would be like His creation.

Throughout the world of existence it is the same; the smallest created thing proves that there is a creator. For instance, this piece of bread proves that it has a maker.

Praise be to God! the least change produced in the form of the smallest thing proves the existence of a creator: then can this great universe, which is endless, be self-created and come into existence from the action of matter and the elements? How self-evidently wrong is such a supposition!

These obvious arguments are adduced for weak souls; but if the inner perception be open, a hundred thousand clear proofs become visible. Thus, when man feels the indwelling spirit, he is in no need of arguments for its existence; but for those who are deprived of the bounty of the spirit, it is necessary to establish external arguments.

Not just about Christians only ! Atheists always keep all the "believers" guessing whether they are right in blindly believing (more out of fear than love ! { 'God-fearing' is the prescription !} ), and practically, it invokes a subtle real, inner search , which ultimately should do real good, and perhaps make the life really fruitful, in eventually reaching the Ultimate !

I easily have by no skill doubted that a minimum of one such more desirable entity exists, yet i have basically quite believed that it really is the God noted in the Bible for basically over a third of my existence to date (i'm just about 33).

Wow, after reading some of these responses I've gotta laugh.

"Atheists are just trying to convert me to their faith!"

Erm... Atheism is the total LACK of faith. So it would be rather impossible for them to convert you to something that doesn't exist. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night right?

No we get upset at Christians because you want to push your beliefs on everyone and will stop at nothing to do it. You have no respect for the idea of seperation of church and state and will actively pursue a religious cause with political means to forward your own perverse agendas.

As for the faith in "God", here's one for ya. What type of divine noble and good deity will purposely incarnate his avatar upon the planet for only a select few if everyone is in his image? Jesus was born into the Middle East and lived his life there. So what about the Chinese? Or the Africans? or the South Americans? God just let them suffer in Hell till missions came thousands of years later. Please...

I have never heard a compelling arguement from an atheist in defence of their faith. From Voltaire to Madeline Murray O'Hair, the arguements against the existence of God rest on one logical fallacy or another.

I didn't grow up in a Christian household growing up. I didn't go to church and I didn't want anything to do with Jesus until I was 18 years old. Then everything kinda clicked. I did all my doubting years ago but now I'm firm in my beliefs. People certainly say things that make me think and challenge me to grow in my faith but I no longer question the existence of God.
