Actually, with the immigration percentages, current population percentages, and the current immigration rate, the likelihood of California becoming a Hispanic state is almost nil.

The fastest growing racial group in California is actually Asians! With China becoming much more lax in its policy of letting people leave, and with countries like Japan, Korea and the Philippines becoming grossly overcrowded, the influx of Asians to California has very recently surpassed the influx of Hispanics. While there are still many more Hispanic people than Asian people in California (nearly 2 to1), that ratio will change by 2020 to be almost even.

In Los Angeles, Chinatown and Koreatown are expanding to take over more city blocks previously owned by whites or Latinos. In San Francisco, the Asian population IS ALREADY almost in a 1 to 1 ratio with Hispanics. The main difference between the Asian immigrants and the Hispanic immigrants? Most of the Asians are here LEGALLY.

I'm Korean, I immigrated here when I was less than a year old, and received my citizenship on my 4th birthday. So to all the illegal Hispanic people who might read this, the RIGHT way to immigrate to America is to come here LEGALLY, then get your CITIZENSHIP. If you don't want to be an American citizen, then you should return to the country that you ARE a citizen of.

There's illegal, and then there is immoral. Just because something is immoral, doesn't make it illegal, and just because something is illegal, doesn't make it immoral. Are they immoral aliens? No. And there are racists on both sides, but that is just because people are angry and refuse to understand on both sides. Mexicans are tired of being forced to live in difficult conditions, and want better. But on the other hand, many are nervous and scared by the growth rates of Latinos and change in general, and are getting defensive. I have my own opinion, and I defend my people and my opinions with my life, but I just want some middle ground to be found. I never though I would say this, but I am tired of fighting and arguing, and I just want something to be done that both sides accept, and more or less, something has.

EDIT: BTW, I was born in America and am a citizen.

I'm a resident LEGAL by the way, but I was born in Mexico, I think this think above is a little bit extreme, who ever is legal, yes has the right to be here, love this country and also love the country where we come from, and keep some of our traditions with out imposing those to this country also we need to live with the new traditions, the illegal issue is more complex and I do not believe the illegal has to be deported because taking jobs from the citizens or using welfare I this all this is BS, but they came here illegal if we want to immigrate to this country we need to do it legally, I know is hard but is the right way to do it, California, Texas is part of the USA and we need to obey the law of the land wherever we are.I think this reconquista also is BS we are in the USA we had to do just the American way after all we choose to be here.

Yes, most of the anti-illegals I read on Answers ARE racist. Others have reasons (that I don't always agree with, but at least they are "reasons" .) for feeling the way they do. Those who use racial slurs and put-downs ARE racists, and they make me sick. People like this questioner make me sick! Sure some brown people are going to hate us, and you scoured every bit of publication in the whole world to find those quotes, didn't you? This is just hate being fed to hate...growing larger all the time. Why don't you spend your time trying to educate yourself about the "problem"? That would certainly be a better use.

Besides, what's NOT to hate about us old, white Americans? We're a pretty f___ed-up bunch!

i dont think anti-illegals are racist..u have to think about..its unfair for for somebody to just come into America or w/e country illegally..i mean it is called ILLEGAL..so its AGIANST the law..and think about the thousands of other ppl in other countries who have to wait months or years to get visa just to live in America,..illegal immigrants should go back to their countries, and get into America or w/e country the proper way i'm not sayin this b/c i'm racist but because i believe in whats right and wrong..its wrong to illegally come into any country cuz its just not right and not fair
