The more I read and learn. The less I believe in god. For instance just taking into consideration all the cultures that the world has had in the last 100,000 years and all their different gods how can just one be chosen. Especially a god as New as jesus or islam.

Since you're a reader, I suggest "Thus Spake Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche. It suggests that homo-sapiens have a tendency to try to define the very God that brought them into existance, and therefore the little stupid creatures blind themselves to their own huge misunderstanding of God.
By definition, "God" created us all, and thereby defined us, so now we somehow have authority to define Him, She, It? (If you do not exist, ignore the rest of this message; you were not Created and it need not concern you.)

You can worship Allah, Jehovah, IHVH, Shiva or Vishnu, or the Turtle with the Elephant on its back---- as was sort of said on a Simpson's eposide--- "The one true God---news at 11."

I prefer the concept of Truth--- but do what your true will is on this matter. Just be a nice guy and let the rest of us figure this God-existance quagmire out as we need to without religious warfare....

The best connection with finding God is within yourself and the world without you. Good luck on your journey.

When did Jesus become new. He was here from the beginning. See you guys just have no knowledge about what and why you believe it.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you their is a God. If you try and tell me we just became without a creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask an athiest How the whole universe came about to exist and I mean every galaxy and every star, also the ones still forming. Ask how the earth has one set speed it to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiest just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Where did the Ocean come from then?. Also ask them to get an empty glass and set it up in their house and go back to the glass 20 or 30 years or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares them. Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it. I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. All in all the athiests have to many questians to explain themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I lose nothing but if there is and I've argued to people he isn't then I would lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God?

What 'are' you reading?
Not everything you read is true, you know that. So don't believe everyone's word about God that claims to be a Christian.. and there is more than one type of Christian..

I was reading a 'bible' last night and soon discovered that it was a translation or something.. it had quotes but mostly reworded stuff that was suppose to be easier to understand..but I don't trust the way they interpreted it. Just reading that made me think- contradictions..?but this is natural? But this isn't the only way to interpret this..even if people will tell you the bible is very straight-forward.

You have to realize that Satan has his hand around the neck of this world and there have been a lot of things published with the help of him that try to prove God to be false. These are the things of the world that we have to overcome. These are parts of the battles with Satan. No matter how much science has been taken into consideration you must realize that scientists have no clue what truly happened becasue written history and other scientific findings are pure specualtion. You cannot find a book written a 190 million years ago that describes that time period and all that was going on. Everything is operating on pure specualtion. Here is another juicy tidbit. Scientists initially figured out the agae of the rock layers by a guessing game. They then named the fossils in the rock layers to their perspective time periods by the rock layers they are found in. The have now started dating rock layers by the fossils found in them. So essentially rock layers get their age from the fossils in them and fossils get their age from the rock layers they are found in. Typical scientific circular reasoning. Also, take into consideration the woodpecker. It would have to evolve every single feature all at once within a one generation timespan in order to not kill itself when drillign into a tree. But evolution has you believe that it developed them all slowly which is impossible becasue it would have killed itself in each new generation. Also, why does it take reptiles which are fast changing creatures millions of years to progress one tiny step on the evolution ladder and man evolved from chimp to modern man in less then two million. It just doesn't add up.

Want to read a really good book that will probably change your entire way of thinking? There are 3 volumes and Volume 2 is the best. It is called "Conversations with God". It's against organized religion but for belief. Really great reading.

Why do you believe less? Because you're gaining intelligence. *shrugs* It happens. Most of 'em don't like their followers realizing they're being duped though so keep it under wraps...

Here's one for you to put your thinker too...

If religions are truth, we're all going to Hell in some form or other.

Reason: There is more then one religion in the world that states that if you are not a devout follower of their faith then you are going to Hell. One can not honestly be a devout follower or more then one faith as the conflict of interests and ideals would be too great. Therefore we're all going to Hell.

Well you might not need to believe in God, all you need to believe is what you want to believe and create your oww experiece. I can tell you though, that there is an energy force that is present in every living/dead human being, animal, rock, thing, basically everything that is common to all of us..and that is energy..
It has been veryfied by quantum physics that at the atomic level, we are all made of the same energy and that energy is present everywhere and in everything.
You might want to read some books from Bob Doyle, Abraham-Hicks, Bob Proctor, Joy Vitale..and others.

Well, you must not be reading the Bible then, and the Bible is the only book that has withstood hundreds of translations and years.
Jesus is God, but Jesus on earth wasn't the beginning of God. God came to earth for a short period of time in human form (Jesus), but obviously God was from the beginning of time, is now, and always will be.
All those different gods were created by man... only one God created man. And God says, "Thou shalt not worship false idols." God punished people over and over again (and still does today) for creating their own idols and worshipping them... and then offers mercy, grace and forgiveness when they repent of that sin. When did you ever hear of a Tiki or clay statue doing that?

What are you reading? Are you only reading one side? What kind of validity and reliability are the sources you are reading? Always check the validity of the source. Anyone can say anything so you need to sift through sources carefully to see which ones warrant more weight than others. Biblical sources come out much more reliable than any other ancient historical or religious documents.
