You need a program like Adobe Acrobat in order to save, for example a Word document, to PDF.

This program might do the job for you - you can get a TRIAL download. Be careful you don't accidentally buy it. They are usually expensive.

Or you could try a free program I use myself Cutepdf . Find it at: http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp. It creates a virtual printer on your computer. Just select it as your "printer" in word or any other program that can print and it creates a pdf file multipage if it has more that one page.
