A lot of people who are suffering from paranoia typically have another disorder. It could be anxiety disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, etc. And there ARE support groups for those.
The first step is a proper diagnosis from a qualified mental health professional. You can find one in your local phone book, or by going through your family doctor.

you do need one!! Funny. Just go to any 12 step meeting and substitute paranoid for whatever else it is. But some medication would be easier.
