Wow....what a wonderful question....However, because I am so afraid of hurting others; I usually sit and think for a min before I choose to answer questions......and yes I have rethought some of my questions, and because I try hard to respect other people's feelings I do a lot of thinking about some of the answers that I see online...............

No, I have not changed the way I answer questions, nor do I plan to. When I give an answer It's based on the type of question (silly or sincere). If someone such as yourself asks a sincere question, I will try to answer honestly and sincerely in return. I must say, I find the animosity between Athiests and Christians to be rather telling on both sides. I always thought Christians were taught to love their brother. What I see is a group of people trying to damn me to a Hell of their making for not believing as they do. On the other hand , I see a group of Atheists calling anyone who believes in a Diety of any kind "idiot" or worse. I don't hate anyone for their beliefs (or lack thereof). By the way I am an Agnostic, which Piers Anthony described as an Athiest who lacks the courage of his convictions.

Actually I haven't changed my way of answering questions at all. When I was first on here I started answering questions and letting them know that I was not a Christian nor an Atheist. I still do that. I have even gotten best answer when someone wants answers from Christians only. I guess that is because I have been a Christian before and I study all religions still to this day. I do sometimes answer questions like I have no brain or something but it really depends on my mood at the moment. I like Christians as well as Atheists and everyone in between.

I believe that every person we come in contact with can help us see other angles. I for one will take everyone at face value until I know them more. I don't think it is right for these nasty answers. We can not know why certain questions can be asked. Some people are truly naive and uneducated. Especially if they are foreign to whatever country. Some people just ask stupid questions to receive stupid answers and/or try to get some attention. I am glad that maybe your nasty might hurt someone who has a true problem and you are now changing. But actions will always speak louder than words. We should all try to make our selves better.

I catch myself messing up all the time. I respond to the hateful questions and start to follow a pattern. I don't mean stuff out of hatred, but I do enjoy trading shots with some of these guys. I think most of them are good natured enough to take the occasional jabs directed back at them. But, sometimes my replies seem to be hitting a sensitive spot for some others.
I also enjoy the atheist who like to have intelligent and polite posts. Too bad there are so few of those type here.

No! I answer honestly and ask honestly. This is a public place and there is no way everyone is going to be nice on every topic every time.
Especially on the topic of spirituality and religion. Many people are committed to their beliefs....and they have that right.
The only thing I do, is try to avoid answering questions that will bring out the nasty side of myself. Not that I've done that 100% of the time either.
Good question though!

Yes, it has affected my decisions which changed my thoughts and answers. I try to avoid quite a few of the categories on here though., Like for instance all the sexual questions dropped into this category is so disrespectful and it bothers me.........Hateful answers serve no purpose. I will admit that I have been cynical many times but who can not be when some things are totally our of line or sick........

I'm a Christian and when my beliefs are attacked, I often become defensive. I used to loose my temper and argue or insult back. I read John 13: 34-35 one evening and decided that Jesus would never argue with non-believers. He wouldn't call them names or insult them for their lack of experience or knowledge of the Lord. He would treat them all with love, compassion, and forgiveness. I have now begun to answer questions with that in mind. I can express my opinions without hurting or mocking others.

I just always give my honest opinion. I try not to be rude, and if I think the answer was asked just to get a rise out of the responders I just normally don't answer them.
