theres nothing in a computer called a controll unit? your prolly talking about the CPu, central proccessing unit, its the brain, data enters it, math gets preformed on it, and it spits out the information to be used either by an app or a user

You are the control unit. You control it by typing in commands or moving and clicking the mouse.

The Control Panel does not control the computer, it allows you access to programs that will change how the computer acts though. It can add or delete programs or change settings for everything from the mouse to the cpu temperature.

You are the control unit... do right, use your head....

Agree with previous answerer. CPU - central processing unit - pretty much explains itself.

You're not thinking of the Control Panel, are you? -- A panel of icons/shortcuts where you set control options all aspects of your computer.
