It seems like the other religious choices are keeping more of a low-profile, but the atheists are asking many, many questions and getting all OCD on us here. Stuff like "blah blah you have no scientific proof yada yada why would God do this?"

I mean if they don't believe in God...why don't they just CHILL and get on with their lives?

This question is not intended to discriminate, harm, etc. but then again I'm not quite sure why anyone would perceive it as such.

I think maybe some of the more vocal ones are tired of religion being pushed at them. Maybe some are doing it as a form of rebellion, daring believers or even God to "do" something about it. Maybe some are uncomfortable with the idea of having to account for what they do, so they reject it. Maybe some just think believing in God is stupid and that being atheistic is somehow intellectually superior. I agree with you, if they don't want to believe, that's their business, and they should just chill. I never understood why people can get so hostile over the fact that people believe different things. It's just a belief, not a threat.

There are many blatant problems with your question. Everyone who feels passionate about their belief will seem "obsessed," so I'm not exactly sure how the "low-profile" part applies. Why do, say, some Christians (just an example most people can connect to), feel that it is necessary to evangelize every second of the day? Everyone believes that their belief is the only one valid, so of course they will want to promote it and defend it.

Also, everyone asks questions if they have a semblance of curiosity. Think of how many non-atheists ask, "Why would people believe in evolution? Clearly *insert god* created the universe and all the living creatures" or "How can anyone not believe in *insert my god here*"

I don't think your question is attacking atheists. I simply think that you have been misinformed or you have mispercieved things in the past.

Well, this is a religious and spirtuality section and anyone, pro or con, has a right to speak and challenge the status quo!

I appreciate the Atheists who don't quote Darwin or Science and say they were once religious and read things and just can't accept. They take responsiblity without have a great God like Darwin to respect!

There's a difference between saying I can't accept and I accept this but not that!

If you don't believe you don't believe.

But when you say Darwin or Science OVER this or that religion, you are no better. You are citing you own agenda! You are making Atheism into a religion.

Any religion does have a right to speak here.

I am an atheist and because of the fact that I am constantly surrounded by religious people I try to understand where they are coming from. I find it easier to get along with someone else when I understand why they believe what they believe. I don't like when people blindly believe in something, whether they are religious or atheist. Atheists have questions for religious people just the same as religious people have questions for atheists.

The reason they don't throw off on other religions is because other religions are false and Christ is truth. Ask a athiest How the whole universe came to exist and I mean every galaxy and also the ones still forming. Ask how the earth has one set speed to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth. Also ask them to get an empty glass and set it up in their house and go back to the glass 20 or 30 years and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares them. Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from? I'll tell you God created it and he may have made a big bang out of it to put it where he wanted it. I won't dispute that. All in all the athiests have to many questians to explain that the Bible already explains.

I think if you pay attention, most of the really stupid questions are being asked by just a couple of truly obnoxious individuals (the_what_should_I_do guy and the many faces of CPT and others who come and go who are probably psuedonyms for the same loser). I suspect they are 15 year olds with way too much free time.

Because Atheists are trying to convert people to their faith... Atheists try to push their beliefs on everyone and try to convert people to their belief system...

funny how they whine and complain about Christians doing that then they do the same thing... hypocritical if you ask me.
