Do you fear rejection?

I tell my friends, "Dude, just walk up to her and say 'Hi!' She's probably just as nervous."

If you get rejected, what have you lost? NOTHING! Always go for it. You may not leave with a girlfriend, but you may make a new friend or at least know you can move on to the next girl.

Practice improves things: join a club/social group/church group. Hanging around in small groups ("let's go out for coffee") can make it easier to talk 1:1 with women.
A couple of miscellaneous tips, for what they're worth:

(1) "Hot"/gorgeous women are great to look at in the club/school, etc.--but if you're shy, it's going to be really intimidating approaching them. How about looking at us just plain average women---you know, the 98% of us who aren't drop-dead fantastic, but who are nice to be with? (Sorry, but it's a little irritating when guys DRRROOOOOOOOOLLLLL over the hotties, ignore us completely, then complain that women are horrible and mean.)
(2) Have a couple simple topics of conversation handy. Current events or local activities work well to get things going a bit.
"What do you think about _____ (in the news/speech/talk)?"
"Have you seen (movie)? What did you think of it?"
"Do you know a good _____ restaurant around here?"
(3) Smile nicely, and look approachable, even if you feel a little spooked by us. There's a number of women who prefer nice pleasant shy men (they can open up, after all), to obnoxious boisterous fools. We're not dangerous critters, really.

Probably because your to busy typing to all the women!

I wouldn't call it shy, Id say rejection can hurt
and if you have low self esteem that you feel rejection is inevitable that's a real turn off. But maybe there's hope for you in chat rooms kinda like like like um this ?

Because you have put them on a princess stool. Once you realize they are slobs just like you, you can relax a bit. Most these b!tches you find nowadays are totally used skank whores...even the quiet ones. Just know they are just as shy.

Be careful, if your fat and ugly you better work your personality, women will not approach fat or ugly guys.

You dont feel confident about something maybe

Is it about your appearence or other?
Try to gain confidence in you as you are. If you find it difficult then do something about it. Talk to your self in the mirror as if your talking to a girl. Tell your self you are hot and believe it and work out with weights. Do guy things hang out with guys. Learn more about women and what they like. Learn to have a sence of humor and good personality. Feel confident about what ever you do

practice talking to people, period. Get comfortable making small talk with the 7-11 clerk, the bank teller, a stranger at a bus stop. when you get the hang of that, you will be able to croak out a "hi" to that cute girl you've been eyeballing.

because you're afraid of rejection or it can be a lack of self confidence. a lot of men keep what they truly feel for a woman because they're afraid they might lose the girl. also, men are not verbally-oriented unlike women so striking up a conversation is one of the hardest things to do.

Aww, poor guy...
It's probably because you get nervous and don't know what to say, and you're afraid of saying something really stupid. I know how you feel, I get the same way with guys and with people I'm not comfortable with. You're okay, man. Other people have your exact same problem!
