You need to report your friend's Dad to the authorities. This is child abuse.

This definitely is not acceptable behavior. Yes, you should tell someone. This dad has an anger problem and without some sort of intervention, it is only going to get worse. Eventually, there could be extremely serious injuries. Perhaps the dad does not realize what he is doing but that is how things get out of hand and an entire family will suffer the consequences.
Don't be afraid. If you know this to be true, it is your responsibility to tell someone for you and your friend.

If you truly care about your friend, you must tell someone. I would start with your parents. I wouldn't wait another minute. They should be able to guide you in the right direction. Pray for your friend. If your parents don't have the answers you need, talk to someone at school or the police. This is a bad problem we have in our country. Domestic violence is one of the worst crimes these days and getting worse everyday.

YES! FIND HELP!
Your friend wouldn't have told you this if he didn't need help.
You need to find someone RIGHT AWAY that you trust to tell about this. Someone who will go to the authorities.
I would recommend a school counselor. They are required by law to call police or child welfare if they hear that a kid is being hurt. It is also illegal for the abusor (your friend's dad) to find out who reported them.
Please trust me that this is the right thing to do. I grew up in an abusive home, and I wish SOMEONE would have called the police for me.

You should tell your mom or dad, it's important someone knows, because it is against the law, as everyone knows. So who won't let you tell? It's up to you to put an end to it. Cuz sooner or later he may even break another bone.

O dear please tell someone! that is not something that you should let go because in an abusive situation the person who is being abused is scared and afraid to let anyone know in fear of being beat again! i mean tell someone at school they will be able to get your friend help he might be mad but he will realize that you may have saved his life in the long run because you cared and knew that this situation wasnt healthy please tell someone!

You need to tell someone. I know your friend asked you not to, but he is scared and is not making the best decisions right now because of it. Tell a teacher or a councilor before it is too late.

report the abuse to your local authorities, remain anonomys, or better yet report it to (cps) child protective services, tell em that you hear someone screamn in a bad way and that you think someone is in trouble, and remain anonomys. its the only right thing to do, or one day you just might see ur friend on the news, as a murder abuse case.... i would!!. or what if the bad does happen and you will think "dammit i should of said something and now its to late"

You should tell the police... They'll get him away from his dad... Then he'll be safe. You might never see him again because He might be sent to a foster home for a while...
Do the right thing though.

Your friend needs help and I think you're the answer to his ongoing physical abuse. You can report this abuse to the police or children's aid society. Your friend needs to get away from his father before he gets seriously injured or killed. Obviously he is afraid because of his father's intimidation. He needs help right away!
