Personally, I don't believe in God just because I have read about Him. I have actually experienced His Presence in my life in ways that cannot be explained otherwise. I'm not talking about weird stuff like I said something and all of a sudden it happened, I'm talking about PEACE! For no apparent reason, I had peace. When there was no reason for it! I had peace! Nobody can tell me it wasn't God, there's no other explanation for it in my mind.
Also, I believe it takes more faith to believe that "nothing" exploded, and here we are. That's what the Theory of Evolution teaches. Think about it. If you saw a beautiful sand castle on the beach and someone told you they didn't see anyone build it so it must have just been blown there by the wind, would you believe them? What if someone showed up and said they did it, you probably would believe them, right? Why? Just because it's more feasible? Why isn't the Universe a feasible creation for an omnipotent God?

what if it's true, like alot of other manuels, it's just that this one is the manuel of life. I supposed that the least i can do is be a fool for Jesus as He was a fool for me. people often ask, why do you praise a dead mans name and i must say, that, it's something about the way and the reason He died. i should other wise be a gonner the way i've chosen my paths and every time i prayed i was renewed, then i'd do it all over again. listen, if you could only know who i am, you'd not only freak, i am the least expected , a t.v. personality. He took those nails for us. please get baptized and please continue everything you want to do. that's okay,we have free will. but don't hurt anyone, anything or even yourself, promise. i wish i could say my name, you'd freak. i'm catholic, i miss mass as most catholics do but i love to say the rosary, it saved my life, really it did. it's not a catholic book but you might like to read,"the purpose driven life". if i were you i would, just cause someone suggested it at this time. if you only knew. maybe if it's meant, you WILL...

We will be dead and would not know if we were right or wrong. So it's better to be safe than sorry. If there is a God Wise and all knowledgeable he will understand if I was not praying or worshiping him the right way. At least he'll give me points for trying. I will add that I don't believe in religions.

long time ago there were no writings....there would have had to be away for people to comunicate..... so when writing came along..people wrote down what happened in order to not forget or to pass the happenings along...many times things were repeated and passed on incorrectly...hence you get the quote today.." PUT IT IN WRITING". There are other cultures and religion that were written from that time that were not put in Christian Bibles...but they have the same accounts of history...yes it was written by man.....but doesn't man write everything today...fact or fiction....I.. like you were not there....you should ask yourself...why so many religions came about at the same time .. even before the bible was written...if they had nothing to base them on...most are the same teachings....that there is a God...

What you fail to understand is that Christians are not the kind of people that atheists often make them out to be, ignorant people who somehow cannot think or examine what they believe. You should get rid of this stereotype that atheists are so fond of projecting about Christians. Truth is, Christianity is first and foremost a religion that is centred on a person in history. It is based on historical facts and historical truths. It is not a story woven by story tellers. You can verify many things in the Bible. And that in itself puts it out of the category you called fake.

Actually, you have it backwards. People were believing and then they started writing their book about what they experienced that caused them to believe.

The gospels of the NT are narratives of what those men experienced when they were with Jesus. They wrote it down AFTER they experienced being with Jesus and saw that he died and rose from the grave.

I find it interesting that many atheists believe the things that they read in history books about Caesar or Kublai Khan or Alexander the Great. There doesn't seem to be any questions about their existence or what they did.

I was blind, lost, and miserable.

I saw a great light.

It came from the Bible.

It changed my life.

The life I have been living for the last 27 years, because of that one moment in time, is better than any other life I could have had.

I think there are two classes of all the faithful. The ones that believe god exists, and the ones that hope god exists. The ones that believe are the ones you gotta watch out for. Me, I hope God exists.

How can I believe something from a book?
Didn't you go to school? What did you learn from? The teacher's words, or the books she/he gave you to read?
