I.F. Is the process by which families who have trouble concieving naturally have a doctor surgically unite the females eggs and the males sperm and place the fertilized egg into the womans uterus. This is how some women end up having 7 and 8 kids. The doctors usually fertilize and implant several eggs because all the eggs don't usually last-those were the cases where all the eggs made it.

An egg is removed from the woman and put into a petry dish, at which point with great caution a doctor impregnates th eegg with a small shot of sperm, if and when the egg becomes able to create a baby it is placed, surgically back inside the mom, where it can grow.

a doctor takes eggs from a woman, and combines them with sperm from her husband or other donor in a petri dish or test tube.
the doctor then locates the eggs which have been successfully fertilized, and implants them in the woman's uterine wall.
this method helps solve 2 common pregnancy issues: failure for the sperm to fertilize the egg, and failure for the egg to implant itself. so it is a potential fertility treatment for couples unable to conceive a child naturally.

In Vitro means its done in a lab, in a vial.
Fertilization is the sperm meeting the egg.
After the cells meet, they are implanted in the women-- and hopefully, a baby develops from there.
