jun 2005, the outskirts of Baghdad. We were sent to kill a top terrorist that was organizing some insurgents in the area. We killed the men surrounding the house and began our assault. No one new we were there, we raided the house, and the way to do it is from bottom to top.
So we went down stairs. I was the first man in. As we went down the stairs to kill insurgents as insurgents were coming upstairs to fill up a truck to transport weapons. I cam face to face with one of the ugly son of bitches.
He had an RPG so my men didn’t fire on him but rather the 6 guys behind him. As I tried to swing my rifle behind my back. As I was hit in the leg. We were fighting hand to hand in on a stair cases no more than 3 feet wide. Before he could get me to the ground I kneed him in the face.
The son of a ***** bit my hand, and I pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the head. I remember looking up at the ceiling trying to stay out of the cross fire between my men and the enemy. I tried to cover my self with my side arm I was able to pull out. His blood was starting to seep into my pants, just soaking in.
Then I woke up on a chopper. I was standing there, but I was looking down on myself. I looked like **** and with all the blood and face paint, I almost didn’t recognize myself.
I noticed sitting on the other side was my grandmother staring back at me. She said "don’t worry, im sorry but we are not ready for you." As I tried to soak in what was happening I could hear my fire team leader complaining about bad Intel.
"There was more of those son of bitches than they told use, god damn it" He said.
I could hear very specific conversations. The chopper landed and I watched them pull the blanket on me and pull me out into a surgery room. I could here the doctors talking. I started looking around and thought I wonder what my fire team is doing. The next thing I new I was in a sitting room. As my fire team was waiting outside the surgery room I listened to them.
They were talking about what each one noticed during the incident. They looked depressed. Next thing I new my aunt, who had died 3 years ago was standing behind me. I looked around. God damn I couldn’t believe it. She was standing right there with the white light every one talks about right behind her.
The closer I got to it, the better I felt. Such a good feeling I couldn’t believe it. But she said no, not yet, you still have things to do.
I woke up on the operating table in pain.
Turns out, we were hit by a mortar after searching the house. I didn’t get hit till after we killed the insurgents and demode the building. Aparently I used my knife on the intended target about 4 min after I blanked out. We all got out, but I got hit by shrapnel in the head.
I was pernounced dead, and got my last rights read. Turns out everything I heard from my fire team was really said, a full two rooms away from my body. I described word for word very specifically, and was dead on.
Is there an after life? Yea its there.

No proof exactly.. except how incredible the world is with all the incredible people and animals that exist in it.
How could there not be a greater force deriving all this?? When you think about it, what is more likely.. This greater force? Or a bunch of random carbon molecules (which appear from nowhere) coming together to form and evolve into everything there is today? It seems so unlikely that everything came from nothing and has no purpose.
Therefore... Of course there is some sort of life after death!

Actually, every elder member of my family had a "trial run" before they finally left the Earth.
My Mom awoke from having no breath sounds or pulse (had the ambulance called, but Dad's voice brought her around) and said she didn't know where she was, but she really liked it there.
My Dad, during his last week of existence here, and after being unresponsive for a day or so, opened his eyes and smiled the biggest smile. I asked him why he was smiling, and he said "I'm gonna' live forever!" I told him that there would be nothing I would enjoy more, and he said, "Not just me ... the whole world is gonna' live forever." That was the last words he spoke. He transitioned two days later. It was one of the best gifts he ever gave me.
My Grandmother was 97 and in a hospital for the first time in her life. My Mom went up in the morning to see her. The doctor came in and said Grandma could go home that afternoon. Mom told her that she was going home to make lunch for Dad and that she'd be back to take her home after that. Grandma told her not to bother ... that she wouldn't be there when Mom got back ... the Virgin Mary had come to her and told her she was taking her home. Mom told her she was nuts, kissed her on the forehead, and left. The phone was ringing when Mom got home ... Grandma had passed.
Proof enough for me.

no there is no scientific proof, only beliefs and personal experiences. I believe there is a form of life after death, I've felt the angels i've lost, i'd love to write about it but i cant because its very complicated but if you'd like to talk about it, feel free to add me to your yahoo and i can tell you some stories that would make anyone believe.
