Just read what RENA B said now she knows how to feed a child. I help my sister with her 12 month old and her 2 year old. The 12 month old she likes peas with little bits of Spam.
Also a good way for them to eat veggies and it's really tasty is by

boiling or steaming mixed veggies in low sodium chicken broth it's really good!

Chicken pot pie is favorite on cold days,
and ramen noodles with peas and carrots, or a can of veg-all or some frozen veggies.

cook lean ground beef add garlic powder and some salt, drain fat and add cut squash green and yellow, it's really good and it's simple the squash gets soft and it's easy for them to eat.

For sweet food
you can try peeled apple wedges, with a little bit of caramel sauce

a mandarin orange cup from wendy's

mashed sweet potato's

sugar-free pudding with vanilla wafers

sugar-free jello with grapes and melon bits or alone

watermelon is always a big hit with little ones.

No matter what always try to balance what they eat, not too much of one thing, and always make sure to give them drinking water each day aside from juice drinks or soda, to keep their digestive system clean.
You can go to kraftfoods.com and they'll have a section for little ones.

Try raviolli that is not in sauce. They sell them at the store. And give her or him fruit cocktail that is cherry plus, my son loves this stuff. Also baked chicken is really great for them. Cottage cheese is always a hit.

Always start with the good stuff...lots of fruit and veggies. If you begin giving him/her sugary stuff they will want more. This is where you should start with the good eating habits. Give them a variety of food, so they will not want to eat chicken nuggets all the time. NOT MCDONALDS!!!

What ever you are eating as long as its not too spicey. Mine ate everything we did. If we had something she did not like then I would make her some scrambled eggs or some popcorn chicken and corn its still her fav.
