my anty viris is up to date and this virus still got into my boot record and didnt make boot disk
its windows xp
wat els can i do ?

Scan your HDD, and then allow your Anti Viruse to scan for bugs.
There must have been a few more bugs there that are causing trouble.
So just do as directed, and it will be all fine.

do a boot scan with anti virus software
or boot to cd rom xp disk in drive use first repair option and fixmbr
master boot record

Generally you can boot with the Antivirus CD if it's Norton and have it removed.

you could reimage using the windows restore disks but it will take all the stuff on your pc off.
