what does it mean when your itchy while your taking a shower ?

( becuz my friend consulted a dermatologist becuz of it ) and when she itches during her shower dead skin comes up , but the thing is she showers daily ......... does that mean her skin is sensitive ?

her soap is probably too strong and her skin is sensitive, tell her to try dove soap..

It could be several things.
1) she needs to exfoliate using a sponge or some gel soap that has little scrubby things in it.
2) maybe she's taking a shower with water that's too hot and is irritating her skin
3) may be having bad reaction to soap
4) she could have hard water.

Usually itchy skin is a symptom of skin being dry or having a reaction to something being used on it. She needs to stop using a perfumed soap, if she's using one. No perfumed shaving stuff, either. The hard water thing may be a likely culprit though, and she may need to have a water softener installed. If she has dry skin she shouldn't overbathe, oatmeal baths can help, and she should put on fragrance free moisturizer as soon as she gets out, it looks in the water.

She is having a reaction to her soap is my guess and probably the perfume's in it. I would get some pure natural soap. They sell these at vitamin stores by the bar. They don't have chemicals that would cause itching. She probabaly has very sensitive skin. She can also buy soaps for sensitive skin I think Phisoderm would a good choice.

thats normal for dead skin to come off maybe thats why she sis so itchy it may because of the saop alot of soap has alot of acid in it.But I think maybe she needs a good lotion.And maybe trying to change soaps.
