but the screen is completely black it takes about 20 to 30 minutes for the screen to come on!!other than that the tv works fine. can anybody tell me how to fix it or whats wrong with it? its very annoying..

is it a picture tube CRT? If its taking that long, then chances are the picture tube is dying/about to die.
Start saving for a new TV now, picture tubes cost more than new TV's to get fixed

due to long time of use and service, crt type tv's corrodes on their crt socket.let it be check by a tech. then replace it if there are any signs of greenish corrosion around or inside the focus terminal.these may solve your problem.(",)
