Did you see Hell's Kitchen? lol Any job can be rewarding, its not always what the job is, but what you put into the job, and wether or not you like what you do.
Personally I enjoy cooking but I don't think I'd like to do it for a living. I think it would take the fun out of cooking.

Well, the guys and gals on Food Network do okay. But y'gotta be pretty good to get your own cooking show. Most of the time, if you really want to make a career of it, you will need to go to cooking school. There is the Culinary Institute of America - pricey and hard to get into - and there are culinary institutes in a number of state colleges. Those are a heck of a lot more affordable and easier to get into. And all of 'em have guidance departments that can also advise you on your post-graduation job search.
Oh yeah, almost forgot: the Armed Forces - all five branches - offer training and experience as a cook. See your nearest recruiter - and I'd talk to the Navy guys first, although I spent ten years in the Army.

I think it would be fun to be a cook. People are hungry all the time so I'm pretty sure you could find work in a lot of places.
