I would say that it depends on the child. Does she want to go? I started my daughter at four and she loved it. I saw other parents dragging there children to school kicking and screaming. I think that if your daughter wants to go, then send her. If she doesn't like it, then don't make her go. It would only make her hate school if you force it on her before shes ready. Good luck.

Absolutely not :) A three year old is ready for preschool when he or she displays these readiness signs:
Independence: ability to do things such as get dressed/undressed, potty trained, pour water from small pitcher
Ability to Separate: can easily separate from Mom/Dad for a few hours at a time
Ability to sit and participate in group activities for 20-30 min at a time
There are other signs of readiness that you can look for however these tend to be the most important. My son is starting preschool in a couple weeks along with two of his friends, they are ages 3 and 4 1/2. You can start whenever you feel comfortable with it. Good luck!!

I was a pre-school teacher for 10 years and the earlier the better. It really helps them develop alot faster than those who don't. They get a chance the interact with the other children and start to learn social skills. When they are this young they are like sponges and learn so much. You won't regret it. Choose the school wisely though, do your research on it.

Not at all. Three is actually usually the recommended age. Assuming she is potty trained and doesn't have too many attachment issues this will do her wonders. My daughter started at about 2 and a half but she was fairly advanced verbally and socially etc.

Some schools start in K3. Which is a pre prekindergarten. I guess it really depends on the child. Some programs even offer half day classes.

both of my cousins (now 5 and 7) took two years of preschool and started when they were 3 :) they are VERY very smart. the one that is seven was one of the very few children in her kindergarten class that already knew how to read and write well!!
my mother started me when i was 4 and i only went one year, but i was a smart kid anyway. my daughter is only six months old right now, but i'm sure i'll start her when she's 3 if she's ready! :) i'm excited for you!
