No, they are too anal retentive. I was on a hike with them one time and was admonished by them (we stick to the trail in the Sierra Club). The area I was going to cross had been plowed over to provide material for an earth fill dam, and was in no way anything close to being pristine.

I am. With anti-environmental Bush in the whitehouse, we need organizations like the Sierra Club.

Because I (like most people) don't live in the US.
but I did have very good scones in a tea shop in Dunbar where John Muir was born.

I'm not to a member. Not to be rude, but I'm not even close to being called a tree hugger. The environment is in God's hands ultimately - not humanity's.

i used to be, but i joined so many enviromental, animal rights, etc organizations, that i went broke!! now i can only do a few and animals and kids are my top choices.

No. They put too much emphasis on pristine forests, and not enough on intelligent use of them.
