well, it isn't good for it.

If you are a young college student, then just go get some sleep and don't worry about it. During my senior year, I was up for over 72 hours working on my final project, went and closed the bars that night, got home at 3 AM, woke up at 5 AM to pack up and move to the corporate world. I'm still living.

If this is an issue that keeps happening and you are not trying to stay up, I'd go see a doctor.

Yes - people have died from sleep deprivation.

You get to a point where you become so tired you can't sleep. You really need to go get some sleeping medication from your doctor ASAP.
