The majority of Catholics don't go around trying to get people of other beliefs to attend their church, or at least they SHOULDN'T. A catholic will not bible bash either. They will show their love of Jesus by trying to live a life of love. They will (or should) love everyone, treat everyone as an equal, help the poor, the sick and the hungry, etc etc. They should never force their beliefs on to anyone but show by example and live a life of love towards others. It doesn't matter what faith a person has, a catholic will not try to interfere. They will only think of that person as a child of God (not a catholic, atheist etc). If a catholic does try to coerce someone then they are wrong and should stop.

All Christians only have one God. So no need for the (s).
And I wasn't aware that Catholics were all that actively engaged in proselytizing...I have a non-Catholic friend who has worked extensively with Catholic "missionaries" in third-world countries, and he says that one of things that impressed him most was the focus on helping the poor and needy without regard for their belief and without pushing the Faith.
We would love for you to come join the Holy Mother Church, but I'm not going to badger you about it. If you don't believe as we do, then best of luck wherever you choose to worship and God bless.

Probably because other religions are more of a social gathering
and Catholics are more serious about worshiping God, which is everyone's main purpose in life, God created us to worship Him first of all, also, God founded His first church on St Peter which is where the Pope resides, and gave the sacrament of changing the bread and wine into His body and blood so that we could have eternal life

My aunt and uncle have been Catholic and had 11 teenagers. My mum and dad are Catholic and had 2. some Catholics prepare beginning administration (different than the rhythm and "prayer" procedures) rather they admit it or no longer. The respected church stance remains anti- beginning administration so some distance as i know. regrettably, once you ask any variety of Catholic question on right here, you will get a lot of ignorant responses.

Christians do it too? Catholics=Christians. Psychology 101 - All Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics. They do it because they believe there is one, and only one way of being 'saved', through Jesus. "Your God(s)" is an irrelevant statement, because Christians believe in one God, regardless of whether or not we all understand the Christian doctrine of the Trinity.

I would say that are you sure, not wanting to sound wrong but Catholics are not very well know to be very evangelical. They have not historicaly tried to get others to come to church at lest very hard. That is why in so many area churches are getting smaller, many people go to church but are not very active in the church and expect the priest and church employees to do the "work"
I do hope this is true, at least in your area and that they are working harder at getting new people.

Gee, none of them ever ask me to go to their church. It seems like I'm the one who is always asking them to come to http://www.alfc.net
I get the impression from the ones that I come in contact with that since I'm just a run of the mill Christian who has not been "baptized into" the Catholic faith that they are not too eager to have me come and attend their services. I don't even confront them about the inconsistencies with their traditions and what the Bible says or anything either.
Man, now my feelings are hurt! I guess maybe they just don't want me around or something. :o) :o) :o)

Possibly because they are Christians and they are commanded in Scripture to make disciples of men.
(I am not Roman Catholic.)
This is by no means limited to Christians. (I can think of at least two groups who aggressively proselytize.and are not Christian.)
Asking people to attend church with you is an "easy" way to evangelize.
Personally, I prefer building relationships with people and meeting them on their own ground. ; )

As a Christian, I believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus. He taught us that all who believe in Him shall not be lost, but have eternal life. He also taught His disciples to be "evangelists" - to spread the Word of the Lord so all could be saved. Some see this as "forcing" our beliefs on others. We view it as "saving" as many of God's children as we can.
