Have you ever been filled with the holy spirit? I have and even when I was confessing and feeling aweful for my sins, he wrapped his arms around me and almost in words I heard, more like a feeling in words, "I love you." Has this ever happened to you? What was your experience?

As soon as your answer sounds sarcastic, I'm not reading the rest. So dissrespectful!

I was distraught over something about 10 years ago, and went to the lake to pray, but was so upset I could only sit there in silence. A stranger came along and I thought, "Oh no, he's going to talk to me. I just want to be alone." I avoided eye contact and he stopped next to me and said, "Here, I need to give you this." (I wasn't crying or anything; I didn't look upset.)

It was a cheesy cardboard thingy with a picture of a rainbow on it and the title "God's promise." On the inside it said "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (I think that's Matthew 28:20)

When I looked up, the gentleman was gone (not mysteriously; he walked away), and I did begin to cry. It was the most tangible comforting of the Holy Spirit I've ever experienced. I kept the rainbow thingy for a couple of years and then passed it along to someone else.

Yes I have Felt our Lord wrap his arms around me..... I was going through a particulary hard time at one point in my life. I was into things I shouldnt of been and feeling very lost and alone. Was depressed all the time and crying. One night my mom talked to me and said these words " You got the life you are living now or you have God....which will you choose?" Those words hit me hard and I just started crying and crying out to God that I couldnt do it alone anymore. That I was tired of the depression, tired of being upset, tired of everything and just plain tired......that I needed Him and His help in my life and as I cried I felt this warm sensation and knew it was God wrapping his arms around me. The weight on my shoulders seemed to lift and I just cried and cried and I like you in almost in words I heard Him say " Its ok now Ive got you.....I Love you" There is nothing like this feeling and you cant really put it into words but it is amazing and wonderful!

That first night I was able to sleep again and things have just gotten more and more wonderful everyday because of God and his love for me. I will never forget that night or how it felt to be in His arms of Love and comforted...there is no better or greater feeling in the whole world than to be held by Jesus.

No, but I saw him wrapp his arms around a 6 month old baby and squeeze the life out of me b/c he was Egyptian,

Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel

First of all I would like to say I rejoice in the fact that you know Him and that you experience His love for you in such a beautiful and personal way.

Yes, there have been times when there were things in my heart beyond expression and He has been right there. I could not speak, I was just devastated by something. I don't even remember what it was! Perhaps it was 9/11, or other times of terrible grief. Whatever it has been, He gave me absolute love and assurance. It's happened more than once, and I'm very grateful we have a savior who is right there for us when we need Him so desperately.

This had happened to me a few times. When our Lord wrap his arms around me it helps me confess when I do bad things sometimes. It's easier to feel and to believe that our Lord is doing that if you believe in something too.

When I had advanced cancer and only 40-50 % chances of survival the Lord held me and told me all was going to be alright in my heart. I felt like there was a shield of faith around me and protecting me.

Yes! It's a feeling like no other. But it doesn't happen often for me. I think I get caught up in life and forget sometimes that life is nothing without him.
