Girls, should a man be older or younger than you? How much? Why? How old are you?

I dont think it matters who is older but I personally prefer a man to be my age or older. I just dont feel comfortable being the older one, I have no idea why but I dont think other people need to do the same exact as I do. I think anything over 10 years is pushing it though. I'm 21.

Really it all depends on how you get along, if you can be in a relationship and not let age be the factor.

During my dating years I dated men that were younger anywhere between 2 - 4 yrs. younger. It was fun, but just not for me, they seemed immature and I felt more like their sugar mama.

I also dated men who were 10 to 15 years my senior. These were great relationships as these men were well established, knew what they were looking for...be it fun...a more serious relationship....marriage...kids etc. I think if I had brought any of them home to met my parents they might of had the issue. The one guy had step-children that were my age...didn't work cause I wanted kids and he didn't want any more. But boy...I learned alot from them.

I found that most of the time the relationships that worked the best was with men who were 2 years old than me. We had similar interests, goals etc.

I'm now 32 and happily married for 5 yrs to a man that is 2 years old than me.

i usually like my men to be a little older,....but it is not uncommon or wrong for a man to be a few years younger than the woman...i think to young a woman or to young a man either one has not had enough experience for a good relationship...i am 53 and i have mostly been with guys younger than me...but i still feel better myself thinking they are older or knowing they are older than me....i really think i would rather stay with someone more my own age or 3 to 5 years younger and only a couple years older than me....i am young looking and i do not really like old men either....i hope you understand what i am trying to say here...

I would say older than me. Because I like someone on a more mature level. Younger guys are fun for flings and play video games and stuff like that. But I don't want to be with someone that would be more like my lil brother than my man. I'm 19 and I say 11 or 8 years older.

It doesn't really matter to me as long as the attraction is there. A guy 10 years older is not a bad age difference. As long as he looks ten years younger but every bit as mature as a 37 year old man, why not? The reverse won't work. I mean who wants a 27 year old guy who looks 37?

Yes i prefer a man be older than i am anywhere from 1 year to 9 years older lets face it while not always true age is the best indicator of maturity.

I think A guy should be Older than me! I think he should be at least 3 years older because I want a man that is Mature I am 19

I tend to like guys older than me, usually by up to 5 years, but I have a hard time with the idea of dating a guy younger than me, even by a few months. Not sure why.

Within 4 years (doesn't matter who is older). I'm 34 so my lower limit is 30 and upper is 38. Any older or younger you tend to run into generational issues (atleast in my experience).

Well, that really depends on the person. I tend to like men that are older than me simply because their maturity levels seem greater than that of men my own age. I'm 22 and I wouldn't date anyone more than 10 years older than myself though.
