I need help figuring out if I am a friend or more than a friend before asking the girl out. I care about our friendship just as much as the relationship that should be. How do you ladies treat friends, and how do you treat romantic interests?

Lots of girls flirt, some do not. I guess you should ask her if she would want or accept more than friendship. Don't rush things, though. The longer you wait, the more you may "read" into it. (gut instinct)

Every girl is so different theres almost no way to give you a definitive answer. But there are a few things you could look for.
1.) Has she changed any behavior lately? Sometimes even the tiniest things can mean that she's trying to get your attention. But the danger in this comes in reading too much into things. You would've had to know her well to know her regular behavior.
2.) Does she dress differently around you than other guys or than she used to? Girls try to look good for guys they are interested in. If she's hanging out with you in sweats your either really comfortable with eachother or your just a friend to her.
3.) Does she want to hang out one on one? This is almost always a good sign.
4.) Does she touch you when she talks to you or makes an other kind of unnecessary physical contact? Girls sometimes touch guys unconciously when they flirt.
5.) Ask one if her close friends. Explain the situation and tell them that you don't want to make a move if it will hurt the friendship...that you'd like to take the next step but are content being just friends if thats all she wants. Make sure the friend isn't gonna tell the girl cuz it could potentially hurt the friendship if its only one sided, so choose your confidante carefully.
6.) Good luck!!

I personaly will look into the guys a lot, when I have a romantic interest in him... I will do anything to touch him, even if it is just his arm... I will laugh at a lot of the things he says... try to be by him...even if it is just in the same room... umm....there are a lot of things girls will do when they a like a guy. Some will even avoid the guy because she doesn't want to do something stupid in front of him to ruin her chances at winning a glance from him. If you need to talk more IM at j_couch89@yahoo.com

Sorry, you just have to ask her. Everyone is different and you will never know how someone feels about you based on their body language. Even with me, different guys I like I act differently in front of. Some I stare deeply into their eyes, others I can't even make eye contact. SO HOT! MAKE ME NERVOUS!!

when i like a guy...

i'll flirt with him and always try to be next to him.

if i think of a guy as "just a friend"

he's just someone im comfortable with but don't flirt with.

it's wrong to lead people on.

If you were more than a friend, she would let you know. In fact, there wouldn't be a doubt in your mind. I guess that answers your question.

you can tell by the way she treats you.anyway do not rush things to her,she might misinterpret it or worse, she might get scared of you and ruin the whole thing.
