You mean the apostle Paul? No I don't. I think Paul was addressing issues in the context of the time in which he was living.

1 Cor 7:8 seems to indicate that he was not married, and allows for the possibility that he was a widower. This passage should take precedence over 1 Corinthians 9:5. On the basis of Acts 26:10 (cf. Phil 3:5-6) some have argued that Paul was a member of the sanhedrin and therefore most likely married. This cannot be substantiated with any degree of certainty.

Back when I was Christian that was one of the issues that I had trouble with. I couldn't stomach some of what the scriptures written by Paul said, specifically about women's roles. Some say that his letters were taken out of context or corrupted, and some say that it was a different time and a different culture so we shouldn't take it personally. Who knows. History is funny like that. All I know is that Paul's letters are one of the reasons I started becoming disenchanted with Christianity as a teenager.

Yes, Paul had REAL issues with women. He was afraid of women and his writings reflect that fear. It is interesting how many church leaders throughout history have had issues with women. Just look at the reaction to a story like the DaVinci Code.
The sad thing is that Jesus saw women as equals. Jesus found women worthy of his time and attention. So why does anyone listen to those who came after him and used the church for their own purposes?
Remember, women have an ability that men will always be jealous of. Women can create life.

Paul did not like women. Most of the anti-woman sentiment of Christianity comes from Paul. Some of his stuff sounds downright, um, closet case. Think he had a bit of a thing for Timothy.

No, the real Paul, like Jesus, loved women. Some of his (Paul’s) letters were corrupted by Peter’s disciples (who founded the Catholic church and made MM a prostitute). Peter hated women, peter also hated Paul, does this make sense? Read the gnostic scriptures to find out what really happened.

Any particular Paul there?
I know a few, and I would have to say some do. Others not so much.

from reading 1 corinthians you would think so wouldn't you. I really do not know, I think he mostly was to busy with spreading Gods word to worry but he did tell men that if you had to have a women then you should get married otherwise do not marry. Hmmmm.

Yes, and churches still agree with his archaic teachings, and those of others from that time.

Attached is an article about a Baptist church that has fired a female Sunday school teacher, after 54 years of teaching -- just because she is a woman!

None of the Apostles had a problem with women.
