In my religion Asatru women play a vital role and they are equal to men in every way. Our Goddesses are seen as equal and vital as the Gods are, and just as powerful. Women priestesses, called gydjas, serve as leaders in Sumbel, the most sacred of the Asatru rites. They are the Hostesses and they serve as the Horn Bearer, the Horn being the symbol of the Well of Wyrd, or Fate. Women are seen as being the Weavers of Wyrd. They are the only ones who can practice Seidr, a powerful form of Norse magic and shamanism. Women and men are equal partners in Asatru and both genders are well respected.

I am a Christian. Specifically a southern baptist.
Women have equal opportunities in the church. The only place where they are not - is actually as the senior pastor. All of the senior staff is men.
Before you turn feminist on me, let me tell you that my mother is the Preschool Coordinator! She is responsible for taking care of every age from newborn to Kindergarden! My church also just hired a woman to fulfill the Children's coordinator position. There is another woman in charge of the Youth Coordinator too! The administrative assistant staff is all women though.

In Neo-Paganism, women can be priestesses and lead worship, and Goddesses are worshipped. In general, women are equal to men, though different roles may be ascribed to the genders in some groups. In ancient Pagan religions, it could go any way--women were treated as equals in some parts of the world and treated horribly in others. But those of us who practice these religions now have applied some modern ideas.

In my home my wife is equal , and she plays an important role in teaching my children to read and study the Bible . In my spiritual belief the women is mate to the husband , but the man in the house has the added responsibility of leading the family to the honest and true way to Salvation - that being to fully surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as Saviour and Lord . For the Bible clearly states that there is no other way under heaven to be saved but by the Lord Jesus Christ . Therefore any other avenue or way to is unacceptable to God .
I am a protestant Christian

I am a Wiccan and this sort of question has never come up since women are involved in every way and we honor both God and Goddess with some groups only honoring Goddess. I suppose that is because so many other religious groups are so extremely sexist.
Women are really just as fully human as men...what kind of world is it where they are still treated so differently in general? I'll answer my own question and say that I feel we still live in a very primitve society.

The woman is equal to the man in God's eyes(His is the only one that matters). God provided the way to worship Him - He wants for us to follow the rules He provided.
Any religion who places women below or above man is a religion that worships a different God.

I'm a Mormon, and woman are very important. Although it is true that woman do not hold leadership positions in my church, they are vital to the plan of salvation. Together, a man and a woman must be married, raise a family, and work together toward being more like Christ everyday. Everyone has their own role. Men are to lead their family and protect them. Woman are to nurture their family and support her husband. Only together can they truly reach their full potential

I believe in finding the best path for you without harming anyone. So far, the closest thing is Wicca, but I cannot say that I subscribe to all beliefs related to it. It's complicated. But as far as men and women are concerned, I think the concept of yin and yang fits best. They are both vital and important parts of creation and life as we know it. Without one there would not be the other and vice versa. Being respectful and appreciative of the differences brings us closer to understanding the most complicated and greatest design we can know.
