Yes and yes.
Daniel 6:20-23 -talks about receiving protection from angels.
Hebrews 1:14 says- good angels are sent by God to help believers
Acts 12:5-10 says -Angels bring answers to prayer
Acts 8:26;10:3 says- Angels aid in winning people to Christ
1 Corinthians 4:9; Ephesians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:12 says-
Angels observe Christians order, work, and suffering
Luke 16:22 says - They care for the righteous at time of death
The Bible doesn't say whether or not each and every person has an angel with them at all times, but we defiantly have guardian angels around us,for protection, guidance and to help us get answers to prayer.
They don't do poor jobs... they are Gods helpers. If things are going poor in ones life it's not because of God or His angels.
We as humans have free will, and because of this we set ourselves up for misery, pain, and sorrow. Satan has a lot of power on this Earth and so does his angels - These are the things that bring upon a poor job in our lives, not God.

I Beleive the are guardian angels! I had a really weird childhood and saw and felt them often they always pretected me from my hell. Now that i am a mom myself I have a better life I beleive they are still with me they just don't need to work quite so hard any more.

In Islam there are the Malaika, known as the guardians of mankind, and the Hafazah, who protect humans against the jinn (demons).

Yes, Yes: Quran [13.11] For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by God's commandment; surely The Lord does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Lord intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector.
They only take orders from God. If God wants you to get hurt, You will.

"And He will give His angels charge over thee, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."
They do not do "poor" jobs...remember that satan comes to kill, steal and to destroy.
