Stay close to Jesus and you will be eternally secure. By faith your saved and not that of yourself less any man should boast, it is a free gift of God,
Believe on the Lord Christ Jesus and you will be saved.
Believe - To put full weight upon, or trust with your whole life.

I have always believed in eternal security, but i'm not one of the frothing-at-the-mouth religious debate types. I believe that "no man can pluck us out of the hands of God" I am in the human race, therefore, I can't remove a TRUE believer from the hand of God. Including me.
I think many people disagree with eternal security based on evidence that they see around them. "Christians" doing "bad" things, the need to hang on to free will, the church full of hypocrites and liers....etc.
I have studied the bible my whole life, attended MANY denominations, and feel as though I have had an open-minded search of the scriptures for myself.
Matthew 24 talks about the end times and says that there will be false Christs and Prophets who, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, would fool the very elect of Christ.
That is one passage that indicates to me that people who truly belong to Christ will be impossible to turn away from Him.
we don't know who belongs to Christ, and who doesn't.
We can't judge others. That is only for God to do.
I know that I can do nothing to remove myself from God's saving hand. I will not speak for anyone else, nor judge another's fate.
My job is to live for him, and become the best me I can be, in spite of my flaws, and shortcomings.
So, there's my 2 cents.
I hope you find the answer you are looking for, or at least an interesting pool of answers to choose from....I'll look back to see what others say.

I think that the ceiling on the tax should be raised from the first $90,000 of income to the first couple million dollars of income. That would help bring more money into the system and shore it up as the baby boomers retire. And besides, there is a sort of social justice factor to taxing those people who earn that much money... because many of them will draw it too.
Just as long as we don't privatize it. That would be a huge mistake. Can we really trust the markets for something so valuable and.....
Oh wait... you said eternal security. I thought you said social security.

My thoughts on eternal security.......that one day I will be in heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ........He made this possible by dieing on the cross and rising again......In accepting Him as Lord of my life and accepting His gift of his life in exchange for mine as well as forgiving all my sins I have secured a place in Heaven with Him.
Eternal security means that you will cry no more tears, be made whole and recieve a whole new body.......you will know nothing but peace and joy in heaven.........and that is where im going one day to be with Jesus and bask in His Holy Light and live in peace and happiness forever. That is what Eternal security is to me.

If I love God because of what he does, and has done for me, and not for what reward I might get I will get to spend eternity with him.

Heaven is very real and promising to individuals who choose to serve God and remain faithful to him. Hell is real and is promising to those who choose to reject God and to not serve him who is their creator.
