why are there so many power outages and blackouts in Nigeria?

my teacher asked me if i knew i did not so i wanted to find out.

Too many people. Too few power generating stations. Poor infrastructure.

Maybe their electrical circuitry is not as advanced as ours in America, and it keeps crashing because it is not equipped to handle large wattage output.
