I would at least make a call. If nothing happens oh well but at least you tried. Call the airline directly. Ask for some form of manager. Dont get the teenager on the front desk

Be thankful that he cared enough about your in flight safety that he checked the battery compartment in the first place.

Contact the airport immediately...you may have to file some sort of report before any compensation begins. I hope your camera was not an expensive one.

You could write a letter to the airport or call there customer service lines. I am thinking it's a losing battle on getting it replaced though....

I guess it is one of those things you will have to live with. You might tell the airport authority.But the whole thing is likely to be cumbersome.

IF YOU REMEMBER THE GUARD YOU SHOULD GO AND TELL HIM/HER OF WHAT HAPPEN THAT THEY SHOULD PAY FOR THE DAMAGE CAMERA
