Well, if you believe that evolution is not a fraud, the meaning of life may read as such: you can look forward to your species being mutated into a "superior" being somewhere in the future; every shread of your existence and that of fellow humans will be inconsequential because you will have been replaced by a better form of animal; you will not have survived because you were not one of the fittest; you are a pawn at the whim of random atmospheric conditions, and earthly catastrophes. So I guess only those who are rich and powerful, physically and mentally strong will survive to evolve; those who have the means to be sheltered from the deteriorating world. The rest of our remains will be examined as mere fossils by some futuristic archaeologists as some weak and rejected life form. Basically, your life will be in vain. Doesn't sound too appealing, does it? Doesn't make much sense, either. Maybe you should consider something other than evolution. It has too many loopholes.

I am a religious person and do not understand why some religions deny evolution... I believe in evolution to me it is logical.. as evolution has to occur because of the physical presence passed through the genes of two different people creating a physical life so there has to be physical changes ie evolution.

I do not believe however that we humans came from the fishes in the sea.I do believe that we were created by God and shall return to God.Therebye the meaning to life is to eventually reach God and as we cannot reach God in our physical state we can only reach God by the glorious and beautiful state of spirit.

You assume that life needs a meaning. Why do we get cancer? It does not help. It is a mutation. Just because life sounds better if it is "for the afterlife" does not make it real. Having the ability to shoot lasers from my eyes sounds nice. That does not make it true. Why do we have an appendix, etc? Things you don't like do exist. You are here to continue life. Have kids, and contribute to the food chain.

No matter how much truth there is in evolution the meaning of life is love. The meaning of life is to love and be loved. Loving requires some state of consciousness and identity.

Why would God create anything that would be a source of unhappiness for Him? The unhappiness is something that exists separate and apart from God in His original form.

Hmm..an existentialist, are we? I am afraid I do not know either, but would I want to know the answer, because once I find out the meaning, shall I be disappointed? If there is no meaning, then take your life now. I want to live so that I can be immortal..such as remembered forever like Alexander the Great. Why do you live?
