There are more people hurting children than sex offenders. Some incompetent parents are harming their children in unbelieveable ways everyday. Some sex offenders didn't hurt any children at all. Of those that have hurt children, it could make me uncomfortable knowing they are just roaming around, but it's easier for me to do what I can to protect my child and pray that God do the rest and believe that people can change than it is to worry about every person who has ever come through a federal prison.

I am glad i caught this question still open, although I realize I'm late here goes. All known child molesters should be permanently locked up wit no chance of parole ever. They say that doing that is cruel and unusual punishment OK how about they get out when the child they molested can no longer remember the assault. There are children that have been so abused so badly, they in order to survive, have blocked out the horror exacted on them need justice as well, so when the molester has been proven in these cases the punishment should be death. These perverted garbage have no hope of ever changing their mental cesspool of a brain so why would anyone ever consider letting them loose on kids again. They do let them out and all those that have anything to do with this fact should be held responsible for the perverted actions these pieces of S*** do when released. The irresponsible act of letting child molesters free, is followed by statements like "I have no choice the law states that when all these conditions have been met i have to release this man" This really angers me! What possible set of conditions could there be that allows for the release of these predators on our kids. If there are laws limiting a child molesters time in prison lets change them. Let us make the law read once convicted of this crime there is no hope of being released ever! Unless of course he is later proved Innocent.

Until the courts and medical society agree on the fact that sexual offenders of children and any person, can not be cured, and that they are a menace to the outside world, they will keep getting out of prison.
I understand this terrible sickness of control the sexual offenders have but understanding it is not saying it is right or I forgive them for the harm they do to the children. I also understand that they will NEVER be cured and they are always a threat to our children and their children.
Actually, they should be put away for life but for now it is only good enough for them to spend time in prison. It should be also their punishment to have them pay for the psychology treatments of the child if he or she is lucky enough to live.
Why do the allow sex offenders out on the streets, it is because the liberal do-gooders believe they can be rehabilitated. This bunk.
So the bet the courts and do now, put them in prison for a time and try to restrict their movements away from Children when they get out... Another solution is castration to all of them before they get out. But the courts and liberal do-gooders will never go for that.

That is a great question. I think that it is terrible that sex offenders get out.
What other option is there...? we would not have any room, our prisons are so overcrowed as it is.
A sex offender lives down the street from me and I am always worried about it. I never leave the door unlocked or windows.

Not all sex offenders hurt children. Pediophile hurt children. A sex offender may be someone who hurts adults.

Well,I made certain the monster who molested my daughter was/IS behind bars and will for another 13 YEARS. Problem is,once something happens,the victim's family keeps getting re victimized,and some give up,and as a result the perps walk,not in my case. I hope the pediphile hating men in jail kill them all. Oh and for that poster that said perhaps they've been cured,THERE IS NO CURE FOR SEXUAL PREDATORS!! Even murders can be rehabilitated,not them,they're worthless wastes of skin

I sure don't know why they let them out. I wish we could keep them locked up forever. Especially the level 3 offenders. I suppose after they serve their time they deserve a second chance. But, not a third!!!

cuz the jails were designed for crack users.
there's no profit or not enough sex offenders to make money off of.
