If you are in Tokyo right now, then I could suggest a branch called ScanTeak, a Singaporean based company that sells beautiful wooden furniture made from Indonesia. But just to let you know that many of these furniture in Japan are actually manufactured in Indonesia.
I know a reputable company in Indonesia where my family and I discovered while vacationing. We now order furniture, paintings and gift items from there. That company started as an exporter, and guess what, they export furniture mainly to Japan and Germany (specially the mimimalist and zen selection). But they sell the same products for retail in their own store. The furniture is versatile and can be used in any decor. The price is low, since the products are available at this time in Indonesia. It is an affiliate of Ebay, and is a free classified online service that covers the Globe!!! There is a section for Japan, then to Tokyo, then to Furniture for sale by private owners! new listings this week!!!

www.overstock.com will ship any item for less than $3.00. Even couches. At least here in the U.S. but give it a try.
